I tell you, whether it’s injuries, refereeing decisions or just the bounce of the ball,if it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all. We fronted up first half against the best team in the comp, Wigan are class and while I fully expect them to win comfortably in the end,we’ve matched them in terms of effort, whatever happens second half our ever decreasing squad has shown enough already to suggest we have something to take forward. It’s Lingards job to ensure that whatever 17 we can put out has the same approach.

Great performance so far. Let’s hope we can keep it up.

We need to learn how to score more than one try per game.
Our attack is poor.

Better than i thought it would be. Mo lack of effort this week but we lack the brains and brawn to be able to compete with a quality team like Wigan. A step in the right direction after last week though.

Spot on,it’s a combination of the two, and we came up against a side tonight who have both in abundance and we won’t be the last team to succumb to it this season.

We scored 2 tries, wigan are averaging two tries scored against them per game so we are average against the best side in the comp

Who calls the set restarts? Is it the ref ?

How the hell did Wigan get all those six agains and we got none (cant remember seeing us get one)

Got to feel a little sorry for the guys after all that effort,

We now have a run of five games where we could realistically win three of them.

    Onwards and upwards

i wish sky would show the incident that led to “all” 6 again’s as is in most of the cases I’m mystified what the problem was, its just an excuse for the refs to get at the team they don’t like, just like the olden days when the scrum half / hooker was penalised for feeding the scrum / feet up, its a total lottery & a bent one.

6 agains are a lottery we lose every week. Can’t understand it because when both teams do the same thing but only we get punished.

I thought it was a good performance against the best team in the hemisphere especially with the juniors in and the drubbing we got last week.

Namo makes a bog standard tackle that happens 100+ times a game - 5 match suspension.
Nsemba hip drop taking Tasipale out of the game - no penalty, not even reviewed by MRP.

Those cherry & white hoops doing a lot of heavy lifting with the MRP this season.

Smith drops Hooley on his head, it was actually Hooley’s fault
Dupree throwing elbows like he’s in the UFC during the derby is completely fine
Nsemba hip drop is completely fine, legal and not at all reckless.

      Never as been.
Last few weeks the disciplinary have made it so obvious it’s embarrassing.
      Sadly nothing is every done.

I’ve not yet seen the Nsemba tackle but if it genuinely is a hip drop, and weight is applied to te lower limbs of Tasipale, ten that is a clear breach of the rules. It is exactly what Namo was found guilty of.

In which case, I can only assume a broken ankle was the deciding factor, rather than the actual tackle.

However, I am curious as to whether Clubs can ‘site’ a player and fund a further review by the MRP? In a simlar way to appealling against a ban?
