It seems my near neighbours are having to make tough decisions and finance calls following all these years of failed attempts to buy a way to SL.

Their lovely chairman doesn’t seem best pleased with some fans and whatever your views may be on him, he has put a lot of work and money into achieving his dream.

Feel for Craig Hall like but I’m sure there are two sides to this tale as well.

It seems to be getting worse over there, playesare now saying that pension payments have been missed and supporters complaining about merchandise paid for but not delivered

I actually feel for fev because there was never any chance of the RFL allowing them to achieve super league status

Statement from yesterday. Sounds like they’ve paid pretty much everything other than the odd payments here and there. Once it’s over with though he’ll be stepping down.

It’s all well and good throwing everything at promotion however with only 700 season ticket holders it was never going to last even if they did manage to secure a place in SL.

It’s sad that they in reality have no chance of being a super league club, which in turn makes them go for second in the league. Why would they bother to compete with wakey or whoever is relegated from super league?

These club should lead a revolt and move to a new competition and then they get things on order, reapply to the IMG rubbish.

Wakey will be given a free ride this year and win it all. There’s no reason to get into debt to come try and win it.

    20 days later

Just looking at the problems at Fev, should they go bust and go down a league, we would share the 1.5 points with wakey rather than both. So from a. 25 uplift.

As the 0.125 for the big screen we’ve ordered should be here in situe shortly. That would give us 12.535, 0085 above leigh in 12th.

And that before we get the 0.74 back from the points we should have had from IMG in the start. Add and we’re 9th before the seats, led advertising boards go in.

    Food for thought.

And a nice thought it is too, I never ever thought I’d need a calculator to work out where we’d be next season. Irrespective of whether Fev go bust or not I don’t they’re a threat to our position in Super League, nor would I suggest are Tolouse who have their own financial issues, If it’s true that IMG favour bigger city clubs that would bring in Bradford and York but both would be a couple of years away from being even remotely capable of challenging for a Super League place. The longer the season goes on the more I see a straight swap between Wakey and London.

Hepworth on the IMG postcode lottery, Leeds aren’t moaning because hunslet won’t get promoted, but should they, they’ll be screaming unfairness.

Bradford with the right backers could do damage but there isn’t the interest. They’ve had the chances, when wood got rl to buy odsal and cleared the debt, it was then.

York couldn’t get 5k through the door and they’ve never given a toss about them. Even the football team got an average of 4250 last year. York rl average 1885. People rarely do both and with away support dwindling, they just aren’t viable at the moment.

Toulouse don’t get crowds and there’s only interest in the Derby with catalans.

They should go to Scotland and Wales first. People love an away day like that, drivable and cheap. The crowd at Newcastle magic weekend shows what can be done.

I see the new seats are being installed in the Princess Street stand, look decent to be fair, another tick in the IMG box.

        Hepworth they look rather good.

I can see people are moaning about the first few rows possibly not seeing the pitch, people being allowed to stand in front of the seating, people having to move from the spot they’ve stood in for years, the capacity lowering to 7500….

That’s the reason, apart from the trolls, I won’t comment on the other forum. Causing trouble for the sake of it because it doesn’t for their routine.

All seats will see the pitch, that’s no standing in front of the seats as it’s a seated stand at this point, you can never have a consistent place to stand unless you get there as the doors open or you have someone that will, capacity means nothing when we won’t fill it against London and saints don’t travel in massive numbers and certainly not on a Friday night for a regular season match.

And to further analyse the moans:

There’s nothing in IMG that says they they actually have to face the pitch or be next to the pitch, so be happy these seats aren’t in the car park.

People standing in front of the seats won’t be a problem to the stay awayers, trolls in thier armchairs in wakey, Fev and Leeds.

Over the years I’ve probably walked/stood at some point on 50% of the square footage of the Cas stands in my time. I enjoy the WR but love to be in the sun for the first half at the Railway end in summer. Embrace the change and actually they actually might find it their lucky new spot!

If your going to lower your capacity, rather be London at home than leeds. It has to be done safely at some point.

We are moving forward and it’s great.

          Don’t think they are moaning.
Just asking sensible questions and pointing out a couple of flaws.
I’m sure it’ll sort its self out after a few games.

Don’t mind a sensible question, as to pointing out potential flaws, they are perceived flaws gathered from a two dimensional picture, rather than get my knickers in a knot I think I’ll just go sit in one and see for myself.
