TIGERS TO TAKE ON THE BLACK & WHITES
Lee Radford makes his first return to Hull FC as an opposition coach on Friday night when he leads Castleford Tigers to the MKM Stadium for Betfred Super League action.
Lee Radford makes his first return to Hull FC as an opposition coach on Friday night when he leads Castleford Tigers to the MKM Stadium for Betfred Super League action.
This promises to be an exciting clash between two fierce clubs with firm playoff ambitions for the end of the regular season and heading into this round it will be the 5th placed Fords taking on 6th in league standings Airlie Birds.
Castleford’s boss has had to make two changes to the side he posted for the impressive win over Warrington Wolves last Saturday, with Niall Evalds missing out to a shoulder injury he picked scoring a try, and Cheyse Blair begins his two-match suspension.
Stepping into the 21-man squad then are young bucks Sam Hall and Cain Robb, both of whom have been gaining valuable match minutes in the Betfred Championship. Hall with London Broncos where he has played five times, scoring twice and Robb with Whitehaven where has made seven appearances for the Cumbrian outfit.
Cas got the better of Hull FC in the last meeting back in March with tries from Daniel Smith, Cheyse Blair, Gareth O’Brien and a hat-trick from Greg Eden clinching a 33-26 success at The Jungle. The Tigers’ last visit to West Hull was also a successful one, a Jordan Turner brace helped secure a 12-23 away day victory in August last year.
Matches between the Tigers and the Airlie Birds in recent years have rarely disappointed, and Friday's encounter should be another exciting chapter.
Tickets for the game are available in-store at the Tigers' Ticket Office on Wheldon Road and online at castlefordtigers.com/tickets until 4pm on Thursday afternoon.

TheMachine id go with this team but i dont think GOB ready to play, think we may see QQ at full back Faraimo on wing rest near enough same.
An away win at one of the top 6 occupants will do us the world of good confidence wise. It will also great for Lee who is starting to look comfortable in his own skin as our coach.
I’ve been to 4 games at FC’s current stadium - we’ve lost them all. I can’t make it Friday so that’s one small good omen 👍
TheMachine I would agree with you on that, but FB is a worry if GOB isn't fit.
I like QQ but worry pushing him into a non-natural position is more harm than good, that said, few other choices.
mdean Eden to fb,macca to 6, milner at 9 with robb on bench if GOb isn't fit for fb
Looks like mamo and GOB are back, according to radford.
TheMachine
I would continue with the Eden project in the halves, he was excellent last time out and you never know when we will need him there again. And we have the option of switching mid game like Rocky going southpaw
Good luck Cas, shall be cheering on from Cyprus hoping for the win!

pirate ye I would have liked to see that continue
Stunning try that 👏👏👏
Olpherts and Wynne into the sinbin for a bit of pushing
So based on what we have seen in the last 2 sky matches, the RFL Superleague alliance have decided that they need Leeds and Hull in the playoffs
I rest my case. That gets pulled back 98 times out of 100.
GOB fails head assessment, misses more than he plays
Well Hull have well and truly capitulated this second half
Absolutely clueless set of players too busy trying to be thugs instead of playing rugby
