Game was superb.
Can’t fault that.
I believe there was just over 12k there.
Over 10k at Salford.

It did look a bit sparse in places, but the rugby made up for that.

The wire match did look half empty, but that’s people paying more on top of a season ticket.

It would have been a sell out at Cas.

Look at cas v saints semi final 2017.
You couldn’t move, it was packed to the rafters.
2 big so called Lancashire teams could only muster 12k, 2k more that we did in 2017.
If the ground had been bigger we’d have still filled it.

Maturecasfan that semi was amazing. We were the best team in the league but a big margin. Such a pity we didn’t pull it off. I’ll always blame hardaker.

I never made the match,as I was loading the car to drive up we got news my mother in law had passed unexpectedly. Now there’s a dilemma! And yes I did think about it,lol. Watched the game on telly desperately trying reign in the excitement. Though when Gale dropped the goal I cracked. All what ifs now, would we have won the final with Hardaker we’ll never know. 1 out of 5 kicks in the semi still haunts Percival so he’s got his own what ifs. It’s the beauty of sport isn’t it. Games like that are few and far between for us,and we turn out in numbers, for Saints and to some extent Wire they’re like buses there’ll be anothe along in a minute.
