I think as a suprise factor, having no hooker worked last week but it needs a lot of players to be on the ball mentally too. It does give use the chance to play what they see but there’s a lot of moving parts. It might be the way forward, a game changer.

Spread moved to Saints -20pts and Cas can be backed at 10/1….a long time since that happened, though to be fair if we stay within 20 points I’d be relatively happy. Saints are in need of a statement performance,I just hope it’s not tonight.

32-0. They could have a better points difference than us soon, with 2 more wins.

Wakey are hitting some form just at the wrong time for us. We need some fresh faces in PDQ and to get some points on the board sharpish. I’d say we need at least 2 wins from our next 4 games before the trip to Belle Vue.

Since when we’re wakey hitting form? One win in a row?

Come on, it’s almost like we are down.

We have won 4 matches. 2 more than wakey and have a better points difference. Yes they won easy for the first time this year but it’s one win.

Historically Wakey always finish strongly, I will not be comfortable until it is mathematically impossible for them to catch us. The dream scenario would be for wakey to win four more games , us to win 3 more and Huddersfield to lose the rest of their games. Then we could sit back and watch Superleague morph into a 14 team competition immediately.

It was a decent performance from Wakey with the caveat that Salford in terms of personnel and performance were unrecognisable from anything weve seen so far this season. I am worried we’re short on numbers and any more injuries wouldn’t help our cause but I’d hold fire on a Wakey resurgence until I’ve seen if they can back it up against Wigan. What seemed clear for me last night was the Broadbent experiment didn’t work, get him back to the centres in place of Turner.

Yes, we beat Leigh and people relax again. I’m sorry but we Cas supporters have seen a lot of adversity in the last 20 years to know one win doesn’t make a season!

pirate historically they finish well, do they? They’ve won one match and still have 10 to go. Finishing well means they hit the playoffs, do you really think they can do that?

“Finishing well,” is a relative term isn’t it, over the last 3 seasons the majority of Wakeys win have come in the 2nd half of the season. For your average Wakey fan I reckon ending the season in 11th would fit that definition for them.

Finishing well has nothing to do with hitting the play offs, wakey always seem to get most of their Ws at the back end of the season, regardless of league position, if that seasonal trend continues, we are up shit creek.

As for beating Leigh, I hope to god you are right but i fear another long night darnt lane

Huddersfield and Wakey are likely to be our target games, maybe Leeds if they cant make the 6 at the end of the season.

What exactly were you saying about wakey and finishing well?
They have Huddersfield next, we go to the cod heads

pirate they are still behind us on points and points difference. If they start to and we go down, then that’s what it is. Confidence dies many things but it didn’t prevent injuries and other teams playing well or badly.
