Matt Foster doesn’t excite me much but he’s solid which we need. But I am excited by the Greek lad, my brother in Oz says he’s been unlucky not to get more chances ,says he’s big, stong, mobile and has decent ball skills, just what we need.

Charbel Tasipale - 23yr old second row. Can’t find a ton about him but he played for Lebanon in the WC.

How good are these players we are bringing in.
Don’t know anything about them.
Just hope they make a difference to the team.
I wonder if wakey are shaking in their boots.

Saying that we still have Last as coach.

Well if they’re all wanting to make a name for themselves now is the perfect time to do so. Every player coming in needs to stand up and play some of their best rugby to keep us in SL.

Tasipale fancies himself as more of a centre, could be worth a try there as we’re not exactly overloaded in that department. A weeks not long to bed yourself in for any of the new guys but even when we had a fully fit squad at the start of the season we weren’t exactly ripping it up. A few new faces with a point to prove against Hudds might just do the trick.

My worry Last can’t get them motivated, he just don’t seem the type of coach who as movational skills.

Maturecasfan That’s my worry too,he’s been given some new tools let’s just see if he can use them. But even if we escape relegation it’ll be by the skin of our teeth and I’d still be looking for a new coach next season.

Tbh I’m happy with the signings and saw none of these coming in.

We needed and scooting hooker, now we’ve got one to compliment macca whilst Robb comes through.

We needed a centre and we’ve got one though he’s played a bit of second row.

We needed a big, go forward prop, seems like we’ve found one who also has an offload game.

Foster wanted to be here and can play in a few positions and knows the club. He will be useful cover if nothing else.

We’ve lost Mamo who had great speed but was an erratic player. One minute brilliant one minute a disaster.

Fonua nearly as slow as Peter coyne but had a few good hits in him.

Fsirimoa real percentage player but now behind QQ, Wallis and Eden for me.

Smith I liked but it appears that none of the backroom team did. A Cas lad to boot.

Mliner was a tackling machine but lots of mistakes. His game in the semi final of 2017 was his greatest but that was years ago.

If nothing else, for me this has brought a bit of excitement back to the club. I’m looking forward to the next home game to see how these lads go and how they might positively impact the team. I’ve not felt like that for a while this season. At least we’ve not sat back and done nothing. It might not work. It might be too little too late. But at least it’s something, and it’s the.type of player we need to be brining in - young lads with a bit of a point to prove or Foster who’ll give 100% every time he plays.

It was all that was needed for me, a little bit of my disillusionment with the club has evaporated and where I was wavering before I’ll definitely be up for the Giants game.

      As for me.
Until we are 100% safe from relegation I won’t be able to relax.
Yes we’ve at last gone in the right direction, which should have been done 8 weeks ago.
Just hoping it’s not to little to late.

I see Vete has departed for pastures new. Might do something at Doncaster if it’s only boosting the profits at Toppings Pies.

Glad we’re starting to strip out the deadwood. Radford properly did us over on recruitment, hopefully with the changes this and next season we’ll start to see some improvements and Last can properly be judged on the performances once he has built his squad.
