Best kit we’ve had in a while that 👍
We had a same design white (away?) shirt at the time that was even better IMO.
Let’s hope we bring that one back too.
For you lot it has to be better to have the amber than orange.👍
at last!
Quality and really should be our first-choice kit but we all know the powers that be won't listen.
Supporters' shirt sales should ultimately show the club which is the most popular.
Hirsty that would appear to be a simple way to view it but with the oft so mentioned cost of living crisis, surely most fans would buy the first-choice item (home shirt) and consider others if finance becomes available.
In addition, a large number of the home shirts may well have been ordered as they were released first, without knowledge of the 3rd shirt design.
FlatCapper that's just an assumption. Maybe you're right. I doubt we'll ever find out, as that kind of information is usually kept close to the collective chest of the club and shirt maker.
With respect to your second para, then I feel that would show the naivety of the purchaser - the club has released three, sometimes four shirts for the last few seasons now. We're also still in November! ... If people are willing (and/or able) to snap-purchase a shirt within days of it being released (bear in mind we don't know the release dates beforehand) then it kind of flies in the face of there being a cost of living crisis - unless they're forsaking food/fuel to purchase the shirt, and in that case then they should maybe re-think their life choices.
I've waited. I'll buy the third shirt, even though I quite like home and away (in that order).
Do we also have a magic weekend shirt as well.
Or will we be using our 3rd shirt for that.
Maturecasfan those are usually released a few weeks before Magic, I think.
I didn't have plans to order a shirt but I'll be on to that tomorrow. Proper kit.
Obviously, I think it's a great shirt. You can't come back to classic designs too often, but once a decade is about right to use an iconic design again (we last used a similar design in 2011, though that was rather ruined by the horrible Probiz sponsorship).
That's better!
I was once told the Cas colours were chosen for a reason to reflect the industry of the town:
Black - for coal
Amber - For sand, used in the making of;
White - for glass.
Does anyone know if that is actually true or just a tale that does the rounds?
I suspect it is a correlation of facts, rather than anything cuasal.
Albeit is a plausible theory.
Shameless
Black - coal.
Amber - glassblowing.
Nobody will every know if it was deliberate or just a random choice of colours.
