Ridiculous. Rugby league is hard to like at times isn’t it?

From what I saw of the tackle and the reaction of ISA afterwards it’s a ludicrous decision.

In other news we are freely available at 40/1 for the Wigan game, that’s 40/1 in a two horse race, the spread is Cas + 36 pts, that’s the kind of spread normally associated with a challenge cup tie between a Super League side and a mid championship side. Looking back at my records they are the longest odds ever on a Castleford win and the concerning thing is the stats say a 36 points start won’t be enough.

They could double the cup tie winning margin at their place.

This is the tackle, can’t see him hitting the legs only Isa trying to break free.

Despite the Club’s appeal, Sylvester Namo’s 5-game ban has been upheld and will serve his suspension

Diabolical.

It apppears the panel believe Isa’s injury was a direct result of the way Namo entered the tackle, irrespective of where contact was made yet Isa himself disagreed with that assessment. There will be plenty of similar tackles this weekend that will go unpunished as there were incidences of inappropriate contact to the head after Watts was banned. I’ve never subscribed to conspiracy theories and there are numerous posts on other clubs forum where they cite incidents that have gone against them. What appears to lacking from the panel is a lack of any effective accountability, consistency, transparency or good old fashioned common sense. The fact that supporters of all clubs appear to have no faith in the disciplinary panel is solely down to their own actions.

So surely then from now on any tackle by any player of any club that results in an injury to the ball carrier should be an instant lengthy ban. Do you think that will happen? No me neither.

The panel seem to like to double down on their bias. Both watts and namo have no intention to injure but complete a tackle.

The problem now is namo is in the same league as watts, asiata and a few others that get bans rather than warnings now due to their history. One big difference is we don’t have a ceo or coach willing to threaten the rfl like Beaumont and lam at leigh. They’ve made asiatas cannonball acceptable.

My fear is we’ll accept the rfls decision to get rid of us rather than make waves.

This doesn’t bode well for us. Imo.

Let’s hope we can limit the damage tonight and keep the score line down to a reasonable level.

Less than 40 would be a great outcome.

And, if we never did think there was bias in the system, the Catalans player Bayley Sironen, also charged with a Grade E offence, was cleared. First decision from the panel seems pretty clear that tyjey considered the incident very serious but, somehow, Catalan have provided new footage and he got off.

It is absolutely beyond a joke.

stuey You talking about at halftime? Because sadly i’d say if we kept them last weeks score it would be progress but without Westy in there i fear it will be worse.

No one will ever convince me there’s a bias towards cas.

When I said “hope we can limit the damage tonight ”. I meant no more injuries, red or yellow cards, and players banned next week. The scoreline does not really matter. It will get to the point, that players will be afraid to tackle anyone for fear of a ban.

6 matches ban for the guy who tackled Tapisale then. Same type of tackle, but with it being a Wigan player, he will get away with it.

Great try was that. If he wants to score those every week then sign him up.

I tell you, whether it’s injuries, refereeing decisions or just the bounce of the ball,if it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all. We fronted up first half against the best team in the comp, Wigan are class and while I fully expect them to win comfortably in the end,we’ve matched them in terms of effort, whatever happens second half our ever decreasing squad has shown enough already to suggest we have something to take forward. It’s Lingards job to ensure that whatever 17 we can put out has the same approach.

We need to learn how to score more than one try per game.
        Our attack is poor.
