First game for me this year so I’m hoping it’s going to be a good one.
Going to go Cas by 6. Close game but we’re always just a little too much for them. That’ll do me. 🤞

This is looking ominous.
They could get 70.
Clueless in attack. Useless in defence.
The Sky guys state we have 10 players out - I make it 3 - McShane Richardson & Watts.
Who are the other 7?
One of the worst group of players I’ve seen in years. With or without the injuries.
It really was dire last night. Bar a handful none of this squad are getting in any other super league team bar maybe London.
stuey El Zakham and a fully fit Hindmarsh walk into that side. JQQ ahead of Simms. I’d to see Hodson in the centres when fit with Broadbent at fullback as well. With the 3 you mentioned I reckon they all improve us a bit.
The others missing like Mustapha etc are squad players.
stuey Qareqare,Hodson, Griffin, Tate, Mustapha are injured, Hindmarsh Takyi not fit enough to play yet. One unnamed player failed a pre match fitness test. Add them to the suspended Watts, Macca and Richardson and there’s your 10. Namo was well short of match fitness and was only able for short minutes,as was Vete and I think we all know if we see Albie on the field we are in deep trouble.
Last night I paid £30 for the ticket - forgot to buy one in advance and ended up paying full price to see that performance.
I pay less than that to have Sky sports and with every fixture now being televised what incentive is there to attend the matches? We massively screwed up in 2018 and failed to kick on from our successful season, if we had continued to invest in talent there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be contesting titles and cups. The club sat and took all the plaudits and then went back to their old ways taking the cheap route.
Over the last few years I’ve been losing interest in the sport. The RFL’s decision to keep messing with the rules and structure isn’t helping and the clubs lack of ambition just makes it difficult to enjoy.
I love Cas - I’ve been a supporter for a long time now and even through all the rough patches I’ve been in the same spot each home game supporting what ever team came out of the tunnel however I’m tired of watching crap week in week out while every other club around us improves.
El-zakham was the one who failed the fitness test.
Hopefully back for Catalan next week.
I could have written that myself, well apart from paying £30, mine was a freebie, thank god.
Stuck by them from being ¾ years old.
Had a season ticket from being 10yrs old, right up to lock down.
I have no incentive to watch that shower.
Might as well go watch lock lane, least it’ll be a competitive game and not one sided.
Until we stop bringing players in on the cheap, this will be the rugby churned out.
Until Gratton and Fulton goes nothing will change.
Things will get worse as we have Catalans away next week followed by a cup tie (unless its`s a home match against a lowly ranked Championship side), that will be another loss, then Leeds at home. Very likely it will be played 7 lost 7 by the end of March.
Could be a completely different line up by the time we get to Leeds and Salford at home but it needs to be after last night. Looking at who is due back by then we could be looking at a minimum five changes to the starting 13 plus the likes of Namo and Hindmarsh will have some much needed minutes in their legs. So all not lost yet but if we don’t perform in those two games with our front line troops black it’ll be a very bleak outlook.
stuey No confidence going to France, in good form it is a tough ask>
I have a lot of nerves about the Challenge Cup - Fev or Wakey away would be about the worst thing. That would really make looking down the barrel of the rest of the season very grim indeed.
Essentially have the end of season awards there and then!
The last 20 minutes was very much like last year and I’d hoped we’d seen the last of the blowouts.
I guess if we don’t see a reaction against catalans, this season looks to be going like last year.
I think the Boss pretty much summed up everyone’s feelings on the game during his post match interview. The big question now is, can he address those issues?
The biggest worry for me is the feelings of the players themselves. After a promising start to the season, with player showing some enthusiasm and commitment, everyone had hope. This game gave me the sense that all hope had gone.
I have no idea of the actualities but I’d have had everyone down first thing Saturday morning, reviewing the game, asking the questions and more importantly, demanding improvement. A good old fashioned thrash it all out session, pointing out that a ticket to the South of France still had to be earned.
I would then have had a ‘gentle’ session of practicing catching kick (*including kick off’s) and playing the effing ball at pace. We either don’t do it correctly or at a speed that would embarrass a sloth.
