Matt What a strange situation. Maybe in time the truth will come out. At least we now know a new coach will be coming onboard. Hopefully the club will move quickly to announce who it is. Never boring being a Cas fan.
RaoulDuke I'd expect no appointment until the end of the season. Hopefully they'll be ready to start for pre season. It's a short turnaround and probably would be an established head coach
pirate I think it will be nigh on impossible to attract a leading head coach with our recent track record, even Rowley probably wouldnt want owt to do with us. We will have to go for a new, young ambitious coach possibly Shenton assisted by Sheridan, if either of them would return to cas. Danny McGuire anyone? Leave the expensive Aussie coaches over there. Whoever takes the poison chalice MUST be given full term of his contract this time, no more knee jerk sackings and no more signings unless both the coach and DOR agree on the player. RaoulDuke It's still a very good job is Cas. Some talent coming next year playerwise. Not giving Carr his full term wasn't a Cas choice. They believed in him and so did I. Still don't know what happened but I'd say Cas were left with little choice

RaoulDuke pirate we don't know what has happened and so we can't say it was Cas's fault. If you look at HR at any place of work now, you can be moved on for so many things
Matt Rumours around mention that we're wanting a British coach that's more senior and experienced. Obvious candidates are Watson and Rowley. Personally I think if Saints will release him we should take the option, let him build the club and culture back up and we'll have something to go on.

Matt If we did manage to get Rowley would Hastings follow. Out of contract at Saints and still a solid HB on his day.
RaoulDuke Hastings was class at Salford and Wigan. Apparently went well back over in Oz but feel out with people and came available. He likes a little passed it tbh but would still be better than we have this season.
TheFirm RaoulDuke Even not at his best and in a stuttering Saints team he's second in the super league assist charts. He's also a decent goal kicker. If the Sloan signing didn't happen then as a stop gap for a year then we could do worse.
