3 year extension until 2025. What do we all think? He gets slated a bit but I think he's solid and dependable. Someone to build a team around.

Hi recent performances have made me feel a little easier about this.

I did feel him to be a bit of a penalty machine... however, when you think the amount of work he gets through, particularly tackling in the middle, he's bound to be more likely to pick up the odd penalty here and there. I'd prefer him not to, obviously, but maybe that's something he can work on...

IMO Griffin is bang average and at SL level, a squad player at best.
For this reason, I'm struggling to understand why he would be given a 3 year deal, or any deal at all!
Even on low wages, we should be looking at better forwards.

Would he get in other top half SL squads - I think not

That was my point in the original post though. A decent squad player that will do his job well without setting the world alight. We can't afford a team of superstars unfortunately so we need these workhorse players. Think how much people bagged Massey for years before they started realising how much he meant to the team.
