It really wasn’t Blair’s fault. Need to look at the middle first. Westerman is caught out of position and is slow to get across. That leaves Richardson with a choice of going for his man or the dummy runner (Westerman’s).
Richardson goes for the dummy runner leaving the huge hole. Blair does the right thing of sticking with his man and numbering up. If he bites in they score anyway.
I know he’s the easy fall guy but a lot of our issues start elsewhere.
Look at the other try where we have three men in a heap at the ruck and Watts is out of position too. It leaves Toulouse with a 6 on 5 on our right. The pass was forward but our numbers were wrong and if executed well, no winger or centre can ever stop that.
