so who is in Sl 2027

Huddersfield, York, Bradford, Hull, Castleford, are all busy signing players for 2027. Would they be doing that if they were not fully confident of being in SL next year. Toulouse have not signed anyone on for next year. Do they know they will not be in Sl next season? Maybe means nothing, but appears to be a strong indicator of who will be in and who will not be.

Huddersfield won't be a Huddersfield side. They will be Dewsbury by the fact they play there permanently or will do. They have been as bad as us in the pitch but with crowds half ours.

York seen to be doing things right but it won't last. Macca and Vaughan won't play forever.

Toulouse have been quite eye opening even without Ashall-bott but don't think they'll get the crowds.

Bradford, the worst ground by a country mile and not sure where their published crowds come from. I've seen then and they aren't great. But they are signing players.

York have made a great signing - so another club expecting to be in Sl next season, or they would not be signing top class players like Cam McInnes from Cronulla Sharks.

It could be anyone, as Bradford, York, Toulouse, Huddersfield, London, Castleford & Hull are all completely convinced they will be in Sl next season judged by the club statements made and their signings for 2027. Someone is going to be wrong with their assumptions and be disappointed and miss out. Anyones guess which club it will be? I am not ruling Cas out, especially if they finish bottom, which they well could.

ive said all along that if we finish bottom the rfl wont waste a minute getting rid of us especially with london waiting in the wings. its 9 years since we won the league leaders shield & as usual we have gone down the plughole ever since, i just hope we can beat bradford to avoid the wooden spoon

I can't see us getting the boot against teams that can't get 5k to watch them. It's important that wires are in clubs, as that's where the money is.

I'll be happy when we go back to less matches on TV and more through the door.

We have a 7.5+ average attendance.
More than york, bradford, Hudds, Toulouse.
A owner that’s willing to put money into the club.

What we need is a coach and a team ALL pulling together.

As for teams in the wakefield district, there’s only 2 now us and wakey.
Very similar to Wigan/leigh, who are more or less same distance between each town.
We just need the right people on the playing side to come in grab the team by the throat and sort the mess out.

Agree, but can we do that in the next 2 weeks? The answer is no.? Sorting it out next year will be to late if we are in the Championship by then.

We won’t be in the championship stuey. I know it feels like we will be, but we won’t.
Yes it’s to early now for the next 2 games.
The team have already given in about 6 months ago.
We need to get the coach sorted asap, he needs to have his feet under the table no later than 1st of October.
There’s gonna be lots to do between now and pre season for him.

pirate if the NRL takeover Nigel will be gone. Sport England weren't happy about him, if I remember and they can put a lot of funding our way.

Davy at hudds is looking like walking away. If they had fans, they would be breaking his door down asking why they have moved out of the town. That's the deathnell of their team and second merger incoming. Plus he's getting on and we know what happens when the owners children want to walk away.

Toulouse is interesting but have no fans. Realistically they are only in to give Catalans a derby. But they fund a lot to be in. Who's coming after Gausch gives it up?

Hull have always had great backing and kr now they are doing well. Kr will move down the pecking order when their team breaks up.

Looking likely a new deal will be agreed with SKY for next season but they’ll only be showing 3 games a week,the rest will be made available on other platforms,you’d assume at extra cost. Not expected SKY will increase what they currently pay so additional revenue will have to come from whoever televises the other four games.

Article re projected IMG gradings at end of season dependant on finishing positions. It suggests that Cas are safe even if we finish bottom and York are the most likely to go down even if they win their last 2 matches.

York still signing players for next season, so must be confident of being in Sl next season - Hardaker now. His move to York represents another significant statement of intent York, who have already made two high-profile signings heading into 2027. Cameron McInnes will arrive from Cronulla Sharks, while the club has also signed Blake Lawrie from St George Illawarra Dragons. They have also signed Matty English from Huddersfield.
Would they be signing players if they are not going to be in SL? It`s still anyones guess who will get the chop.?
