Having nothing but time at the moment and being a complete masochist I watched the first 50 minutes of the game again,no point watching the last 30 as by the the game had gone. It was so easy to see where the game went, Where the brittleness of our mental state was exposed. A bit like a journeyman boxer we had a decent ten minutes,we were on a roll,on the front foot,we even took a few punches, the first Wire try from an awful defensive read, the blindside try with our right edge so far out of position they weren’t even in camera shot,we seemed to roll with them and still have something left. We were on wobbly legs but still standing throwing the odd shot and then in a bizarre moment Hirst for some inexplicable reason when we’d handled a Warrington set well and restricted yardage, messed around at the ptb and gave away a six again. Wire rolled us down field, scored again and you could visibly see the last vestiges of resilience disappear. Honestly the ref could have blown the whistle there, not blaming one
player, collectively we didn’t have the mental toughness to turn that game around or even compete, the game was gone. Not sure how or if you can fix that but it was stark, obvious and depressing.
