Believe it or not, after some of our performances this season, our performance rating has gone up.

By my calculations we’ll comfortably be Grade A for next year,not wholly accurate because there’s obviously information we’re not party too. With figures based on a lower league position than we currently occupy but adding in 0.5 for meeting the higher attendance bracket we’d be as near as damn it to 16 points(15.96) Unless of course we’ve dropped the odd percentage point elsewhere.
What I don’t get is what will happen if you get say 16 grade A teams but only have a 14 team league. Would it be expanded to embrace the the other teams or would the 2 lowest rated A grade teams drop out?

It's not possible to get 16 grade A teams until 2028ish, due to more emphasis on results.

They will move the rules and grading points to fit their needs. If they want Cas or whoever out, they can make it unattainable.

Personally, if the NRL takes over, they won't use IMG or relegation. Our league will mirror theirs.

I have no real view of how the NRL considers SuperLeague, but I am clear they are a cynical business which acts solely in self interest.
I don't say that as a negative by the way, that's how businesses flourish being clear on their plans, non-sentimental and self supporting.

Dolphins, Perth and PNG will clearly welcome the competition expansion - of course Balmain, Illawarra and others may feel differently about it. While overall SuperLeague may improve, it will be in the PVL model and that doesn't afford me any comfort. Anecdotally on a podcast I listen to from Aus - they were talking about Cook coming to Superleague to Cas and a contributor said "good luck, I hope he lives in Hull....." clearly just a comment, but NRL links and a flush of money will not come without impacts.

The NRL has 17 teams, so they must have a blank week every so often for all teams. A lot of the SL teams are wanting a blank week every so often. Why not let London in, have 15 teams, and the clubs would then have at some point in the season 2 blank weeks as they want. It would mean starting a couple of weeks earlier and finishing a bit later. Magic weekend would have to go though.

I’ve always said that the Magic Weekend should be the Challenge Cup round of the last 16.

Just seen the clubs offer for the final 3 games of the season,if they expect that to put bums on seats they’re well wide of the mark.

Huddersfield have made their hand with Catalan free. If we need the crowd, we need to do something that good.

We should have done what we did with Toulouse.
Give free tickets to the town people.
We got well over 7k for that game.
It makes sense imo.

I'd make London get the IMG points to get in and not get a freebie.

Despite everyone elses confidence I still think we will be the fall guys that make room for London and the ladder will well and truly get pulled up.

If we lose the attendance points we are well and truly f****d

Huddersfield have announced , and I quote "over 6000 free tickets have been bought" .............. bought? The RFL will fall for that phrase and give them extra IMG points.
I also see that they are in line for an IMG points boost because extra electronic advertising boards have been installed in a ground they will not be playing in next season.
The whole system is a very sick joke.

Maybe we should apply to play in the French league, we could win that one.

You can never relax with IMG or the RFL,don’t trust either of them. One thing that is certain is it’s physically impossible for Huddersfield to achieve the additional points for attendance.

pirate of course they can change the ratings to fit who they want in. But they won't come in at the expense of Cas. Huddersfield are below us in all ratings.
