Club just announced they’re being taken over by a local businessman which should ease their financial worries and if he has cash to invest a welcome boost to their IMG grading if it can be completed in time.

Good news for them, but worrying for Cas, There IMG score could go up amd put them above Cas. According to rumours London and Huddersfields have also improved and are now above Cas as well.

We will not know for sure until the gradings are published, but it would help Cas` s cause to get several wins under their belts, but can not see that happening.

York have one of the best grounds in Sl, they have out performed the other 2 promoted teams, the have the biggest catchment area of all the SL teams bar London and the French teams and get bigger crowds than Huddersfield and have a better performance score than Huddersfield.. In fact they beat Huddersfield on every criteria of IMG, but it`s odds on it will be them that get the chop instead of Huddersfield.

I know I keep banging on about the average attendances,Tolouse,Huddersfield and Yorks average attendances are lower than ours by some margin but currently they would fall into the same bracket as us and earn 2 IMG points,none of them are anywhere near the 7,500 average needed to get the extra 0.5 points but we are incredibly close to getting that figure. The last time I looked,before the York game we were at 7,316,the 8,000 odd for that game would increase that,Leeds up next at home,a crowd of 9,000
would almost get us over the line but and it’s a big but,we are playing poorly,we have Catalans coming,a combination of the two could lead to a significant fall at the gate. I’m sure the club will be aware and will be on it,hopefully with offers to boost the numbers,and we can all play our part by turning up in numbers #COYF

Hard to say it but it looks like the club have given up and accepted our fate, no communications, no loanees and still playing the chuckle brothers in the halves.

Toulouse and Bradford are both now stating that they are confident that their IMG scoring will be enough to keep them in SL next season. So thats only Cas & York who have not announced anything re stopping in SL. One of those 2 will go down.

Personally I would go with 15 teams, seeing as a lot of the clubs are wanting a week off every now and then, they woulld get that with an odd number of teams. Just start 2 weeks earlier, ditch magic weekend (that would not work with 15 teams) and finish a few weeks later. York do not deserve to go down, but looking big favourites now, with Cas as second favourites..
