Carr was asked on Thursday about the half-back’s form and his future. When pushed on whether or not he would be at the club in 2027, he was very blunt in his answer.
“He’s on contract and he’s under contract for next year,” Carr insisted. “I don’t know where these things come from, to be perfectly honest with you.”

Weaver seems to have settled in, if RC is being honest I’d be happy to see him stay.

I like Weaver, some people moan about his defence but I think it's fine. With Lane as his second row they get through a lot of tackles.

On his side it's constantly changing, different service rowers, centres and wingers. It doesn't help. Once it gets settled, the attack will get it together aswell.

Looks like this is going to happen now. Just a case of finalising who will be leaving, word was out on Asi and Stimson a while ago as both OOC,little more surprised if it’s Weaver but not shocked or disappointed,just not offered enough. Also expect Ravalawa to depart and his spot to be used to reinforce the pack. Slightly worried we’re putting too many eggs in Taaffe’s basket. I know he’s played in the halves and indeed wants to play there but he’s still inexperienced in the position and coming off a long term injury,it’s risky.

I guess if Lino has signed he'll be partnering with Taaffe leaving Sloan to take the FB position. Where does that leave PLT - I think we'd be stupid letting him go but what other position could he play or would he be willing to accept being the backup FB.

Asi, Ravalawa and Cini have no issue with them leaving and while Stimson has improved slightly over the last few weeks I don't think he has done enough to earn another contract.

Some serious pace in there if we can get them the ball. PLT be excellent cover but probably deserves better. So do we assume the OOC quotas all leave,ideally yes. Plus Weaver who hasn’t done enough and Ravalawa who’s a luxury we can’t afford. That leaves us space for a forward. Another assumption is that we’ve used at least 2 marquee slots on Sloan and Cook,not sure what kind of salary Feagal warrants.
