Tonight was never going to be fast free flowing Rugby. We just needed to hold the ball and not give possession away constantly when it’s boiling hot with high humidity. We made it hard work because quite a few players aren’t interested or able to maintain consistency for more than a week at a time.
McShane ran the show, knew exactly what to do and the York players did enough to walk away with the points. Not dismissing their performance however we shouldn’t have lost to them tonight.
