Little concerned about how we look in the front row but Gouldings return for me is a positive,Hirst and Mellor second row with Lawler loose I like, and putting Cini at centre with Macintosh out wide is playing them in their strongest positions. Hopefully someone can shut Macca down because he and Hingano could run the show,Vaughan as always will take some handling. Confidence a little higher now I’ve seen the teams but could be a close one,then again last time I said that we shipped 50.

How on earth did Asi win man of the match?

Wanted both sides to win as living in York and supported them for 40 years, then Cas for 40 years so a draw would have suited me.

Currently in Spain and listened to that on a very Cas-centric commentary on Radio Leeds,we certainly make it hard for ourselves sometimes but a wins a win. According to the commentators Lane was man of the match while PLT earned some plaudits for his pace and energy.

Two points on the table which you can’t complain about however I hope we’re a completely different team next season as we’re hard to watch.

Asi played ok - certainly not MoM though, weaver was non existent and PLT tried his best and looks more at home than anyone we’ve had at FB.

Well I am glad we won ugly, we didnt capitulate and I thought we managed the last 20 minutes really well especially with 12 men for 10 minutes.

In some ways it was a better performance than the Wigan game.

We actually showed a bit of backbone for once and lets hope they build on that and continue fighting

Saints are beatable but are we going to be up for it?

glad to have got the win & to keep york scoreless in the 2nd half is a plus especially when we went down to 12 men for what looked like a normal tackle to me, but we all know he’ll get two matches?

I don’t know how that was a yellow card. He wrapped his arms around and made a perfectly legal tackle. The other player coming in to contact with his shoulder wasn’t his fault. He didn’t lean in with it or anything.

If there’s a ban I hope we appeal it.

Not been shown on the highlight reel but the commentators on Radio Leeds were shocked he got ten minutes,even after the slo mo they said it was harsh.

the commentator also said that the vr ref had recommended 10 mins sin bin for one of the york players but the ref overruled him, not sure if it was mcshane or not?

Was the yellow card on Vellas instructions or did Griffiths come up with it on his own? Be interested considering Vella was completely ignored on the Macca call.
