Once again I’m not sure what to expect from this one,to be honest I’ll be happy to keep it close,a week off might have done us good and Leigh had a tough game at Wakey though I may just be clutching at straws. Probably the best news today is that QQ and Senior will be back next week and the other Senior is close to a return. At least then we’ll be able to play backs in their accustomed positions.

Little or no cause for optimism from that performance,poor is probably an understatement. A couple of players aside they looked poorly motivated and there was very no discernible structure in attack or defence,Maguire has repeatedly said we’re not showing in the games what we are in training but sorry fella translating practice into performance is the coaches job. I won’t join in the vitriol on the other forum but firmly believe we have reached the point where change is not only due but necessary,you can lose games but sometimes how you lose games is important,what you can’t lose are the fans and that’s what we’re starting to see. Effort is a minimum requirement ,even a glimmer of hope can sometimes suffice but even that was missing tonight.

Clueless in attack, we have no-one with any pace, skill or ability to create an opening, plus no humph/go forward in the pack.

never thought i would say this but we were better under Lingard & we are getting worse by the game under our current coaches. 6-20 doesnt look too bad on paper but it was a hard watch again.

Week by week i am getting more and more worried about the property developer tag attached to Martin Jepson.

We need some action off the field this coming week and Mr jepson to make a true statement of intent

Break the f*****g bank and get Rowley in, keep mags as assistant (head coach is much too early for him, but the potential is there) , dump Delaney and Wilson.

Last night was dire. There is just nothing there, the team is a non entity. McGuire isn’t the man for the job but then some of us said as much when he was appointed. A coach in his first job was exactly what we didn’t need. Jepson himself showed his inexperience there and he now has to act to correct his mistake.

What contract as McGuire got. 1-2-3 years.
If 3 I can’t see jepson paying him off to fork out to pay another coach. My fear is he’ll stick with him.

Nice to see Mal Reilly at the match, especially after recent reports. He had a lot of well wishers as well.

We were shocking batting a few players.

Simbiken, Lawler, Mellor good. Then we had a few average and a few poor.

We have no halfbacks. Barring one kick to score, they just are expensive kickers. No moves out on, no flash of inspiration. Might as well give windley a game. This means we have westy playing a ball handling role. Which we can’t afford to do as we need his size as a prop.

I don’t know whether it’s DM trying to get the players to play how he wants and they don’t have the abilities or he is a poor coach.

RaoulDuke I’m not sure on the Maguire front either,whatever he’s trying it’s not working. Coaches are a bit of a conundrum,look at Powell excellent at ekeing out improvement from lesser players but struggled with a quality squad at Warrington.Windley definitely deserves a shot,nothing to lose and at least he has a running game,attack wise we’re very one dimensional,fifth tackle a kicks coming and even then there’s no variety. Our outside pace will improve once QQ and the Seniors return,if we can get them the ball that is.
