Apparently signed on a 4yr deal.

Personally, he’s not a player that I’ve looked out for but will now. He seems a bit small at 5′10 and 25 stone but at least we’ll get to see him before he comes, if it’s true.

I’ve been impressed with Simbiken and wouldn’t want to lose him for a smaller second rower. Simbiken is however big enough to prop, especially in comparison to some of our other props.

If we are looking at Oz props, which quota player could we get rid of?

Hoy is still our best fullback and he can teach Rooney a thing or two.

Horne is outstanding in attach and defence.

Rimbu a workhorse but yet to show that dart and strength from the ruck.

Simbiken looking good and has a big engine.

Namo has moments of being unstoppable and has big hits in him but not the greatest engine yet but he is young.

Asi will be a star, the signs are good.

Cini, still can’t understand him being played on the left and our international centre in Wood being played on the other side. Is he doing something that another centre would or could do as in tate or Hodgson? Centres seen to be easier to find but he is on a 2yr deal.

I’ve no doubt he gives his all and provides full commitment but, as most folk keep saying, we need genuine size.

If DW continues with this ‘pigmy’ policy, we’ll have the shortest team in SL history.

Being Hull’s player of the year last year is like breaking your toe rather than your leg. It’s the slightly better option of a bad situation. Think his durability got him it, he played in most if not all games for them in a year when they were a basket case.

He’s an ok player, a workhorse type and the signing is fine on the right deal. But he doesn’t offer much ‘punch’ with the ball and if the report is correct, isn’t worth a 4 year contract on ‘lucrative’ money.

I’m assuming our coaches know who from our current squad will still be with us next season,perhaps there will be a hole that Lane can fill,if he’s a solid 7 or 8/10 every game every team needs that consistency. The points not lost on me though is that you wouldn’t have needed to be a superstar last season to get player of the year in that Hull side.

Teams that lose players they wanted to keep and especially local ones, always come up with “lucrative offers” to calm their support and try to reinforce what a good job their management is doing.

If he was on 20k last year and we’ve offered 30k.it’s lucrative in comparison. Don’t be fooled by Myler, he’s only in a job because of his prospective father in law.
