Well here we go. Haven’t a clue what to expect tonight, based on our pre season performances KR should wipe the floor with us however anything can happen, especially in the early rounds.

I just hope that McGuire and the players have done some serious training this week and we come out and put in a performance.

Not the start to the season I was hoping for,out of the cup already and thinking anything less than an 18 point defeat will feel like a decent result.

100% improvement from last week. We missed Milnes for his goal kicking.
4 of the next 5 at home, so hopefully more performances like today and we will get some wins.

we lost to two dodgy knock on calls, especially the captains challenge one, Tom Grant was never going to overrule the onfield decision
The set restart rule also needs dumping

I like the golden point, but its a bummer to be on the wrong end of it

The PNG lads were good and will get better as the conditions improve

Got to feel for that Davies lad, he looked gutted, I thought the players momentum had more to do with it than him throwing the HKR player

We were so much better than last week. Committed and aggressive. Just what is fans needed.

A few calls didn’t go our way and they were as offside as us but not penalised as much. I guess the pressure of the night gets to a ref.

Overall very happy with that. Get QQ on that right wing and milnes in the halves we’ll be OK.

RaoulDuke Either JQQ or Louis Senior improves that right side. Milnes is a massive miss for us but for me nothing has changed up front. We still need a couple of meter eaters in there alongside Westy and Lawler. Namo is more miss than hit and whilst they were solid enough we lost the forward battle when Griffin and Muzzy were on, something McGuire alluded to in his post match presser. They just don’t have the go forward needed.

Vast improvement all round and after the Bradford debacle cause for optimism. I loved the togetherness of the team during the breaks and watching the leadership team on the pitch actually leading. Hopefully the necessary recruitment will be forthcoming.

Well, pleasant surprise, one swallow and all that, have to accept they were not at their best…… Hoy is hugely exposed kicking, it isn’t his thing clearly and two weeks in a row he’s been exposed off the tee.

Goes without saying that this was a vastly improved performance and tat alone deserves some credit.

However, it is only a start and will mean nothing if the players go out next week and revert to the standard of the Bradford game. There’s no reason why they should but you never know.

Lawler and westy helod their own but they simply cannot do it every week and it was still obvious there’s no viable fromt row back up. Still need a barnstorming prop or two.
