Last game before the season starts and the start of the challenge cup journey. Expect them to put up a fight but we should win comfortably in the end. Hopefully we start to see the team perform and get off on a good foot ready for KR.

I’m expecting a tough start to both halves but we should have too much for them in the end. Not a betting proposition at 1-4 and not tempted by the ten point spread on the handicap. Might have a little dabble on Goole +60 against the mighty Trin in the hope the foot comes off the gas.

Team almost picked itself, Hoy in the halves with Rooney at full back,no argument with that, looks like plenty of impact,personally I’d like to have seen Okoro in for Mustapha and we’ll miss Mellor. Now all I need is for the Iplayer buffering to stop and it’s game on.

It’s a shocker alright,poor to the point of being embarrassing,where do you start sorting this mess out?

I can’t see us scoring either which is just embarrassing. For years now we haven’t recruited well and our pack is so small - we’ve had so many coaches who’ve neglected it and yet again McGuire has done the same. We’re a SL side who’s financially stable yet they run the business as if we’re skint. Unfortunately most of the players in our side would struggle to hold down a regular Championship spot, we need better players and a pack that can actually compete.

Hepworth Apart from signing 13 decent players, not sure how we do improve. We are miles away from even being competitive.
