Lots of speculation that he is leaving. Do we want him? VG player. Hull and Leigh both (allegedly) want him.
Asi & Sneyd would be a top notch half back pairing, with Milnes as back- up.

Going to hull for a fee believed to be over 200k. He’s good but one injury from it being all over. Would love him but not at that price.

Salford would be much weaker without him and with their money issues probably won’t put it all into a replacement. If he goes they are going to be in the bottom few.

Now Abdull leaving hull is a weird one. No further information yet but got the feeling he couldn’t get fit and over his many niggles. I would take him as short term cover with a view to getting him back on track. He is a good player and excellent with open play kicking. It also says he’s left and it’s now a free agent.

RaoulDuke I’d steer clear of Abdull. He’s got a knee problem that needs an operation to rectify which will reportedly put him out for months rather than weeks. Wouldn’t be shocked if thats him done as a fulltime player. His body doesn’t seem up to it and neither apparently is his attitude. At very nearly 29 it’s unlikely to change for the better now.

It was only reported a couple of days ago that Abdul was injured and likely be out 4-6 weeks, and in France he looked overweight and unfit. Not surprised he’s been let go.

TheFirm if he could play on for a few weeks before an operation, he might have a value to us. On a play and pay deal, it might be worthwhile.

I suppose it depends on the severity of milnes injury. It’s not like we have a lot of depth.

I suppose what I’m saying is, making enquiries cost very little.

Hepworth That timeframe was only if the injury could be rehabbed. But even Hull’s coach said it would be in his best interests to get an operation. I guess they tried to rehab it and failed so have paid him off.

The money, combined with perennial under achievement and expectations! New regime new start I suppose.

Biggest impact to Salford as others have said.

Whilst there is no doubting Sneyd’s class, I believe he’s aluxury we neither desperately need, nor can afford.

Our priority remains a top class prop that lieterally does not take a backwards step.

As for Abdul, never in a million years should we even consider him.

stuey Can’t say this hasn’t been coming they’d have a couple of players who’d improve our squad, but not really props, you’d only think Singleton and Bullock, both 32 so not really in their prime, some of their stats leave something to be desired unless our coaches could eke a bit extra out of them, they’d certainly add depth to the squad but not necessarily quality. Given the scarcity of domestic props if they were up to the mark they’d be snapped up.

If I’ve said it once I’ll say it for the 200th time. Clubs who own their own grounds should be given an extra 5 points on the grading system

Linked with Jack Ormondroyd by rugby league live. Big lad and decent prop forward. Didn’t realise he was 33 but at this stage he wouldn’t be a bad pick up.

I would make a bid on all the squad then pull out of the deals leaving them in limbo.

Hepworth the sad thing is he wrote off a lot of debt for them but they’ve still been spending. It had to end.

The start of the end for them was when they became owned by the fans, it only works if they are rich. Average Joe can only give so much and once it’s gone there’s nothing more. That’s where they are now, which only leaves begging others to give them help. Like the council who have their own problems.

We have teams like saints and Wigan posting massive losses but yet they are the most successful. What chance is there for the rest of us. We should be happy that we’ve stayed in the league, been breaking roughly even and trouble the scorers every now and then. We want more and I think Mr Jepson and his other investers will get to us to where kr are now.
