So the two perceived threats to our Super League status are going to fight it out in the final,can’t help but wonder how close Tolouse are to that magic 14 point mark and could a victory get them over the line. I assume with the improvements and added investment at Wakey they are pretty close it’s going to be a tense couple of weeks coming up for a few clubs I think. On matters on field today Wakey clearly need to be upping their game for next week,they’ve already taken a sound beating from Tolouse this season and another one wouldn’t be out of the realms.

It’ll be interesting but it’s all about the points. Wakey are so definate they are safe and in the top 12 for next season. Many people thought it was strange they fell out of the challenge Cup and were retained in the 1895 Cup where they could win and get the IMG points.

Cas find out this weekend whet we are in our not. I’d expect signings announced then.

Clearly some loose ends being tied up at the club and not just from a squad and IMG grading perspective. In a couple of weeks we’ll know where we are playing wise and what if any changes are happening at board level. All we can be sure of is Martin Jepson is an accomplished and respected businessman with far bettter communication skills and understanding of PR skills than anyone we’ve had at the club for some time. You’d think he’d be as frustrated as us by the current vacuum and keen to address it but even his hands maybe tied.

Jepson is new to rl, certainly as a director/owner, so he will be frustrated.

There is normally a ban on signings/news in grand final week, as in allowed to be announced. Some teams do what they want as there’s no repercussions. However we follow the rules and agree with a selling/buying club as to when announcements are made. We try to keep everyone sweet.

Personally, we should do as the rest do, as it’s every team for itself. IMG will stop the progression of the sport because it’s not a level playing field.
