No appeals or by the look of it room for a legal challenge to IMGs final pronouncement so they’re clearly pulling up the drawbridge to prevent any challenge in the courts. There’s gonna be at least one or two clubs who will no doubt feel aggrieved and now they’ll have no form of recourse which sounds more like an IMG dictatorship then them being an organ for change that will benefit the game.

If we hit the points as expected, we’ll be just short of 15 points. Salford and hudds can’t get near that. I’m not feeling the worry others are. And even if they do find a way to get us out, I’ll still not stop watching Cas whichever league we end up.

I’m relatively confident we’ll be in the top flight next season,who knows other teams with big ambitions might push past us in the years to come but it’s in our hands to prevent that. I’ll always be 100% Cas whatever league we’re in. I did try when I lived in Kent to get on board with who were then Invicta,and I’ve done some lower level coaching in Norfolk but once the season starts there’s only one place that stirs the passions.

I am not sure i want to be a part of a league where members are decided by committee.

As their combined following is less than Huddersfield’s average home attendance I’m not particularly worried. To be fair they may have a point,while massively improved I wouldn’t exactly say our facilities are grade “A” but and it’s a big but,if we’ve followed the IMG criteria and we do score around the fifteen point mark then good for us,and if they don’t,and they don’t like our facilities tough titty. Point your finger at the IMG guidelines,not us. We’re all being judged on the same criteria,sour grapes anyone 😊

Hepworth It’s not as bad as it sounds. There is still the opportunity to take a case on unfair treatment to an Independent arbitration body It’s a route often used to ensure that prohibitive court costs are avoided by individuals and organisations who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to have their cases heard. If the body finds unfairness the RFL will have to review their decision which is pretty much the best you could expect from a judicial review in a court.

Bradford are now seeking more money. Personally I think the thousands saved by them for having the rfl take over and lease back odsal for a pittance to them was bizarre. They have had their freebie, they now need to pay their own way. Their profit should be given back to the rfl.

Been quite a fall of grace for Bradford and should serve as a warning to other clubs even those at the top table,lose your investment and you’re going to struggle. There are plenty of clubs struggling who haven’t had the gimmes that Bradford have had and who would be equally or even more deserving.

Bradford are a sleeping giant but with crowds over 10k they couldn’t keep going, why do they think that it’ll be different this time?

Whatever happens in the next couple of days I feel more confident in the club’s future under the stewardship of Mr Jepson than I have for some time. The fact that potential new investors are coming forward alongside new commercial sponsors is testament to that. Some prior to now were put off by the insular nature of the board,a lack of communication and a willingness to engage,I know that because I was one of them,whereas now I feel if I were to approach the club in a similar vein the response would be vastly different.

Interestingly IMG who were part of the Endeavour group in the States have just been sold as part of a package to the TKO media group joining WWE Wrestling and Pro Bull Riding (Seriously)under their umbrella. TKO have said they will be looking to “streamline” their new acquisitions. The deal was worth $3.25 billion,be interesting to see where little old Rugby League fits into their strategy.

With the changes due to the IMG rating, looks like it’ll work in our favour.

Basically, we would be given 2 years of our current stadium grading whilst we completed the main stand rebuild. That’s great news.

We can apply to other local districts and get their catchment area included in our points scoring. We can certainly look towards north Yorkshire and south Yorkshire.

The rest isn’t really important.
