No appeals or by the look of it room for a legal challenge to IMGs final pronouncement so they’re clearly pulling up the drawbridge to prevent any challenge in the courts. There’s gonna be at least one or two clubs who will no doubt feel aggrieved and now they’ll have no form of recourse which sounds more like an IMG dictatorship then them being an organ for change that will benefit the game.

If we hit the points as expected, we’ll be just short of 15 points. Salford and hudds can’t get near that. I’m not feeling the worry others are. And even if they do find a way to get us out, I’ll still not stop watching Cas whichever league we end up.

I’m relatively confident we’ll be in the top flight next season,who knows other teams with big ambitions might push past us in the years to come but it’s in our hands to prevent that. I’ll always be 100% Cas whatever league we’re in. I did try when I lived in Kent to get on board with who were then Invicta,and I’ve done some lower level coaching in Norfolk but once the season starts there’s only one place that stirs the passions.

I am not sure i want to be a part of a league where members are decided by committee.

To be fair they may have a point,while massively improved I wouldn’t exactly say our facilities are grade “A” but and it’s a big but,if we’ve followed the IMG criteria and we do score around the fifteen point mark then good for us,and if they don’t,and they don’t like our facilities tough titty. Point your finger at the IMG guidelines,not us. We’re all being judged on the same criteria,sour grapes anyone 😊

It’s not as bad as it sounds. There is still the opportunity to take a case on unfair treatment to an Independent arbitration body
It’s a route often used to ensure that prohibitive court costs are avoided by individuals and organisations who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to have their cases heard.
If the body finds unfairness the RFL will have to review their decision which is pretty much the best you could expect from a judicial review in a court.

Sadly, the Club have previously shown themselves to provide inaccurate grading information prior to the formal announcements. Yes, last time round, we all know errors we made by both Club and IMG but the Club were very confident on what score we’d achieve and were some way off.

I’ll believe it when IMG say we’re in.

Struggled to attend most of the matches this season however I’ve brought it somewhat around over the last remaining fixtures and will be there again tonight.

Hopefully we give it everything and win - looks like we’ll have a decent crowd too to cheer them on.

In addition to the lower funds received from Sky clubs will be suffering with attendances too, with every match now on Sky the incentive to go and watch it live has been decreased substantially.

At the moment I can’t see how the sport can improve. So many issues need to be addressed and I think the their current vision is miles off. There’s no reason why RL couldn’t flourish in this country with the right people sat at the RFL, the product is there but it needs a proper overhaul to succeed.
