Thoroughly enjoyed that,great second half fight back,we certainly are a rocks and diamonds kinda side but we’ve improved significantly of late and Saints won’t find us a pushover. Skill and effort counts for a lot but sometimes as when an opponent kicks through it bounces safe, on others it hits the defenders foot,then ricochets off his head and flops over the try line for a gift,you don’t need luck like that.

Bloody hell that was nerve wracking, but I’ll take a point after being behind most of the second half. Well done boys.

How did we go 90 minutes without a set restart when Leigh had six or seven?

For me we’re still lacking those two big go forward props, Watts does his best but is at the point where he can’t do the minutes, Westy does well at prop but is simply doing too much. Once those two tire and others have to pick up the slack we are far more vulnerable with the interchanges we have. The bulk of the six agains come when we’re tiring, hopefully Namo can redress that balance and if we can get Hindmarsh fit his stats for metres after contact in Oz were impressive. If those two are unable to cut it then the only option is getting the cheque book out. I’ve heard whispers re Titus Gwaze, be a step up for him but he still has potential.

orrsome Tricky one is Sammy, bit like Lewis Bienek, he has all the physical attributes but seems to lack something. Clearly coaches see something in him initially but then he seems to fall by the wayside. Lingard had him at Batley and as other coaches have done sent him out on loan, he’s young enough at 24 but he’s now on his tenth club which speaks volumes. He’s played under some excellent coaches but as yet none seem to be able to get him to perform to his potential.

I see Martyn Sadler has confirmed in the Rugby League Express what I posted in April that officials at one club are already preparing a Legal challenge should the IMG grading go against them, he didn’t name the side but as I’ve popped this in the Leigh thread everyone will be able to work it out 👍

I think both Cas and leigh will be ready to challenge their gradings if they don’t get in. The easiest thing, the option I think they’ll take, is that Toulouse aren’t ready yet to get to the top table. That will save the 13th team.

We won’t be anywhere near 13th, we should be comfortably in 8th.

Most people seem to have forgotten when Beaumont sacked the entire team and played the last 4 fixtures with kids and amateurs. Was only 5 years ago, last year of super 8’s and Leigh finished 5th in championship.

It’ll be interesting come grading results day. Every team will do a rough tot up and know roughly where they are. But as we’ve seen they ballsed up our score and changed it late but refused to publicly acknowledge it and refused to change our mistake .

The good news is that it forced Cas to get serious and start sorting the things that we should have been doing a while back.
