I take it you’ve all heard the latest podcast with Martin Jepson.
A brief resume for those that haven’t….
He’s put 1.2m into the club and that doesn’t include buying a third of the shares from the Fultons. He owns a third with Ian and wife the other 2 thirds. I presume it’s his wife, tbh never seen or heard anything from her.
The 1.2m cannot be taken out of the club within 5 years and can be used to upgrade the stadium or team.
He seems to be acting like a real ceo meeting and dealing with other owners, rfl and IMG.
New led scoreboard incoming which will give us IMG points.
He is sending Cas marketing team with the ex ceo of Crystal Palace to the led sponsors board meeting to see if there’s a real business plan to get them in. He knows there’s points from IMG involved.
The new seats in the Princess street stand are staying permanently. The retaining fence is being dropped. The new stand will have all new seating. This will push us up and over the amount of seats required for IMG.
They’ve looked at the IMG scoring and we should be around 14.5 points and with a crowd of 7500 over the 3 years up to 15 points.
He is aware of the number of injuries we get and is working through whether it’s the poor facilities or something else. He’s thinking about the option of moving the training to another facility and using the space on that side of the stadium as a community facility to become the heart of castleford. (great idea and might get funds from other avenues)
That’s all I can remember but it was so positive. And for a man that hoped to see a few matches this year, he’s only missed 2 so far.
Seems a genuine bloke who wants Cas to do well. I hope he can ignite the fire in other money men and give us a massive push into the future.
