Decent enough performance I thought, good to see Macca back, effort and class always stands out,Westy with that left hand drift and swinging pass is a lovely thing to watch and we saw a few flashes from Hoy that were quality. The rest were pretty solid and we looked pretty cohesive until all the second half changes but I get why they were needed, Too many handling errors first half but we were trying to play good rugby in what were very cold and wet conditions. Only concern for me was our defensive positions at restarts,we’ve been vulnerable to mid range kick offs the last couple of seasons and there was acres of space between the front and back lines, smarter teams will take full advantage of that and get the ball on ground. Milnes place kicking was decent and whoever was in charge of counting the attendance was my man of the match, just shy of 7,000 with one stand shut and about 100 in the Railway end was creative accountancy at it best. Shout out to the few London did hards who made the trip, spoke to a couple of them and decent lads. Though they did wonder why one set of toilets and one of the main entrances from the stand were in virtual darkness, a couple of bob on light bulbs wouldn’t go amiss. Big shout to the ticket office who made my wife’s visit to the Jungle with their efforts, thanks guys.
