Hard to believe, but there is a side worse than us. Strange how players improve massively after leaving Cas. Evalds and Sneyd both fantastic this season. Probably many others as well.

We have championship players playing in SL , bar ⅔. That’s why we are in the position we are in. Can’t see anything changing any time soon. Can’t see us bringing anyone in, cos we are bloody tight. So another 2/3rds of the season to put up with with tosh.

mdean Would agree with that, and there were some flashes in attack from London yesterday that had more creativity than we’ve shown and they are a poor side. Very much like us they seem to be able in for a while but eventually fatigue sets in and they’re easily opened up. Problem is none of our halves seem to have the guile to open up defenses, the kicking has been aimless,and they don’t seem to be able to run at the line,add that to seemingly being able to only be able to pass well off one hand and we’ve got a problem. I don’t think the passing issue is just them to be fair our ball movement down the line against Leeds was painfully slow. If our oppositions defensive coaches are looking at our tapes they’ll have us sussed in five minutes,stop Westermans off loads,stifle Macca and that’s job done.

I think londons problem and I think it will be all season, they tire back end of the first half, come 15 mins into the second half they are out on their feet. But the first 20/25 mins, they look good, but like us they can’t score. Huddersfield yesterday was on a par with London, both poor.

I watched the Hull v Huddersfield game yesterday, Hull are like two different teams,like Cas at times they defended well,at others the Giants just walked through them. Hull conceded the first set of the game and were never really going to win. That said when Esse and. Pelle were on and they got on the front foot they have some attacking threat,problem they’ve got is both are only good for twenty minutes. I was going to skip their visit to Cas but given the defensive frailties of both sides and the fact we’ve found out where the try line is ive booked the Premier Inn in anticipation of a try fest.

Hepworth Hull have the luxury of having a season like this to rebuild with no fear from IMG and that is everything that is wrong with the game at the moment. We could finish above them and still go down

Leeds Live are reporting this is on the verge of happening,says talks have been held with Vete (Who is injured again)re early release while Tex Hoy will sign a short term contract until the end of the season.

Confirmed by the club Vete has gone. Correct decision, sadly he was a waste of a quota spot from day one.

Hopefully now the Tex Hoy part of the equation will come to fruition, a deal till the end of the season would be very much the way to go and he looks like he’d be an upgrade on any of out other full back options. He impressed me in the couple of Hull games I’ve seen, they still took a battering but his interventions saved three certain tries in one game but he was a bit like Canute trying to hold back the tide. Should fit right in at Cas then 👍

I wonder if this means Broadbent will be heading out of the door sooner rather than later, I’ve seen the swap rumours doing the rounds and we could certainly do with some strengthening in the pack. King at Hull KR has been mentioned,he’s decent and can do the minutes but size wise would he just be another Lawler or Griffin, wholehearted but not the line busting prop we need. Still be an upgrade on Vete mind.

I’m hearing Cas offered Broadbent a new contract but not for the length he wanted. He’s therefore not signed it but I’m not sure he wants out.

Chances are his agent will be looking for a club prepared to offer the length he wants but that may included the half season that’s left this year. Personally, I can’t see a top four outfit wanting him for more than 2 years at best.

Looks to me like he’s lost interest.
The club need to stick to their principals.
No more offering silly long term contracts.

For a right centre he doesn’t pass right. QQ or senior would score a few of they got the ball in open play. Broadbent runs well but isn’t much of a threat and is no wingers centre.

A 3 in and 2 out scenario is fine by me. 3 players who will fight for a position rather than the constantly injured Vete and disillusioned broadbent.
