We are lacking quality all over the field, ¾ quality players won’t change anything, we need 13.

We are a championship team in SL, and it shows, we have been found out.

What struck me last night was how ineffectual Richardson and Miller were in attack,our reliance on Westerman and McShane was a gift to the Rhinos defence,they could afford to double mark them knowing there was no threat elsewhere. Lisone changed the game when he came on while we had Vete who came on,went into backfield and didn’t even offer himself up for the carry. How poor/unfit are Namo and Hindmarsh if they can’t displace him in the side. Defensively Leeds are more than decent,even Saints struggled to break them down, but they adapted because they have that touch of class we’re sadly lacking. Are we that far off being competitive? I don’t honestly think so but as many of us were saying in the off season we’re short of a decent half and a couple of props who can make an impact, our new signings haven’t addressed that issue. So onwards and hopefully upwards, Salford is a game we can and should win,we showed that at theirs, hopefully we learnt enough to adapt, no way on this earth will Macca give Sneyd the time and space he had that night. Hopefully he’ll shake off the knock he got last night cos boy do we need him.

So much to agree with, I am 76Kg and I could put my effort into fighting Usyk, but lose. Effort and graft is a minimum requirement.

What we are lacking an actual half…….. I thought we defended OK actually, but never seemed to have a moment in attack where I thought we would score with al the ball in the first half. Felt pre-season ish, amateurish, like an NLC side drawn away in the CC.

Desperately searching for something to give me hope for this week’s games anyone?!?

Well there are showers forecast for kick off time which might help. Sneyd’s purple patch has to end at some time,I don’t think he’s even missed a kick this year, Broadbent will hopefully start at full back and he looks an upgrade on Hooley,Watts is available this time as is Macca who hopefully has enough rugby smarts to deny Sneyd the kind of space he had at theirs. Slim pickings I know and a hell of a lot of straw clutching but something’s got to get me up the A1 come Friday.
