We’re the unknown quantity in SL this season; so many changes in the playing squad and a new coaching set-up means it’s really hard to predict how things will go! However, I’m in full support of the club’s approach to building a squad of younger players who should be on an upward trajectory rather than those coming towards the end of their career.
I can see a few other teams struggling this year. London have nothing to play for in terms of staying in SL; Salford have lost the core of their best players; Huddersfield look like a really old squad (perhaps a bit like us last season?) and I don’t see much improvement in Hull FC. For me, they are the teams we need to catch and doing that will leave us in 8th.
Would also be good to have a cup run - that always brings a sense of positivity even though it only takes a small number of wins to get to a semi-final/final.
