Know he’s had a few injuries but he should have been kept. Still one of the fastest players on the field and even with the odd mistake he’s a great player who’s capable of playing multiple positions.

If Catalans keep him fit then they’ll have a great signing.

I see this as a good old ’sod’s law’ scenario. If we’d have kept him, he’d get injured a fair bit and miss half the season, minimum. Signs for someone else and runs in 20+ tries for the season.

Some clubs may be fortunate to be able to possess the luxury that is a Greg Eden on stand-by. Not sure we’re one of those clubs.

At Catalans he’s behind Johnstone, Davies and yaha. At Leeds they’ll be moaning about Eden preventing the pathway for juniors. Both teams are grade A and don’t need him.

But as said above, he’ll be the leagues top try scorer and play nearly all the matches. He’ll be challenging the top spot with Evalds. It just wouldn’t surprise me
