It’s all a bit like those players,you know the ones,they’re absolute crap for 18 months and then miraculously regain some form when they’re contacts up for renewal. Maybe Messrs Grattan and co’s minds will be more focussed with unemployment on the horizon. Fear is a great motivator.

Hepworth Its has motivated me away from Cas shirts for Christmas. If they dont care , why should I? I have never felt so scared about the future of my hometown club CTID (Cas till it dies)

pirate Sadly i think a lot of us share those fears,so much negativity being written and said about the club,even if you’re capable of separating the bull from the factual it still sinks in. The lack of communication from the club is the killer, and even when it does come many are disbelieving as the people running the club have lost or are losing the trust of the supporters. It seems we’re between a rock and a hard place but I firmly believe if we saw some action from the club,got some honest discourse, the majority of the die hards would get on board. The danger for me is it’s too little too late,we’ve stagnated,years of inactivity have left us vulnerable. What I don’t want to see is the club sinking without a fight.

Still no news on our grade being rectified.
What is it, 3 weeks now.
Can’t see it happening now.
We’ve been screwed by yellow livered owner/BOD’s for not being strong enough to take IMG on and getting our proper grade given back to us.

Decided not to renew my two season tickets.
Don’t see point we could in every game at home and id still walk away after game thinking the result does not matter as the games not decided on the pitch anymore.
The buzz as gone for me.

No interest in watching games now, when the result does not matter. IMG have already decided who will be in SL in 2025 and who will not. Results on the field will make no difference. Every match is pointless!! Leeds could finish bottom and will not go down, London could finish top and will go down.

Whilst i get peoples point on this for me the time to walk away is next year if the worst comes to the worst, not right now. May as well enjoy it whilst we can and go along for the ride and who knows, we may just dodge the bullet. Remember a year is a long time in Rugby League, the goalposts will have probably moved a couple if times by then.

Sadly the game is dead to me.
I will still watch cas games on TV, I cant help that, its a genetic flaw like my 6 fingers but there will be no financial support in the shape of merchandise, my 4 or 5 trips from scarbados and even the club lottery.
The RFL will also never see me support International games, cup finals (only 4 missed in 35 years) and grand finals, why should I, they dont want dinosaurs like me reminding the young uns what a fantastic sport we used to have.

No season ticket for me, though since Covid I haven’t had one
I’ll attend one game, that’s only to keep my run going of going to at least one game every year for over 60 years.

I get why people feel that they should give up on Cas but that’s letting the rfl/IMG win. Why help them kill our club?

Yes, the ownership could do more (actually a lot more) and it doesn’t take a billionaire coming in to change that. More communication and why not play the “backs against the wall” card and tell the world they are trying to force us out. Get a seige mentality going and let a wave of oppression be our battlecry.

IMG is ruining the game for all bar the safe 8 and the unrelegatable Huddersfield with their ex super League chairman millionaire. We have been let down by our owner who, even if he has the money, doesn’t want to spend it.

We can’t effect much as supporters but we can do our bit and say “we at least tried”. Most of us would love to win the euromillions and buy Cas and take us on a pace but that’s not gonna happen.

Getting into the IMG League is going to happen at least for the first year. By January we could have already got the extra easy points and make IMG come up with me factors to try and get us out. And we may scupper then by getting planning in January, which when built will take us just short of a grade A but within our grasp.

Why arnt he club fighting tooth and nail to get our grading rectified.
Why asnt the RFL sorted this out, their mistake as well as ours.
It’s been over 3 weeks, something not sitting right with me.
My gut feeling is that’s where the IMG and RFL want us to be 13th
The whole thing stinks when it comes to our club.
Sadly the owner and BOD are all yellow livered and couldn’t give a dam.

Maturecasfan probably because it was a practice run designed to give each team an indication of their place right now and did not directly decide the 12 magical places at the end of the year. There’s nothing to take to court and there’s no rules of how to appeal such a thing.

I’ve said before it is however very poor and will directly affect our fans, sponsors and the perception of us in the game.

Apparently there’s gonna be some sort of result this week about our grading.

Also I think the rfl/IMG have failed to address the problem and respond to the statements by our board, which is shabby. They will be looking to hide their response when they get some good news.

So we’ll get our points as expected but no apology, that would be about right.

Just something I’ve been mulling over in regards the criteria…

Do the needed seats have to have a view of the pitch or can we put them in the car park? Same with the scoreboard and led signs? Since the sport is going to be decided off the field, then surely it would acceptable.

I’m sure there are other ways aswell. If anyone who has read and digested the criteria can check those is be grateful.

I wonder, just like businesses who have their company running out of Jersey or some other tax haven maybe we could have a similar idea but have our “home base” in France - there’s quite a few rugby stadiums we could pick from and we’d meet all the requirements on location and other bits then.

To minimise travel for other teams we could play half of our games in Cas. Once a year at our official home in France and then the rest would be the away matches.
