Hope he’s a good one. Would have loved a half back or mean prop. But if the best halfback Leeds can get is frawley, then there can’t be many good ones around or available.

RaoulDuke Ben Reynolds at Leigh is not sorted for next season , younger and a million miles better than Miller But he has been on Beaumonts secret pay scale (allegedly) so I doubt we could afford him

I think we need to tie Westy down to a new contract, Watts and Widdop still being courted by other clubs dependant on who comes up from the championship. Two fighting over Vete’s signature,unfortunately they’re Weight Watchers and Slimming World.

Have no issues with us doing a proper clean out as it was needed. Too many players were signed which offered nothing and it will have cost the club a small fortune, if we’re planning on sticking around in SL then a rethink on how we recruit has to be a good thing. During the time with Powell our younger players never got a real look in and Radford’s recruitment was nothing short of terrible. Hopefully a new focus under Ward will see all of that change.

Matt Has Danny Ward been Confirmed as head coach?

I don’t believe so, he may well know his position,or it may still be under dicussion but like the incoming players nothing concrete. I get it with the players,that’s a changing situation given some of our players are still talking to clubs and there are championship teams whose recruitment criteria may change if they get promoted but when it comes to the coach I would have thought that would have been an easy one to settle.

When did they announce they’d make an announcement? I know every social media post they put out everyone mentions why aren’t we announcing a new coach, but for me nothing will be announced until after the new coach has fulfilled their duties for this season.

CurtisTigers I can fully understand Hull KR not wanting our interest in Maguire becoming a distraction, they’re having their best season in years and a massively important game coming up,from their perspective anything else can and should wait.

The squad so far looks to be going in the right direction. Hardest part will be getting everyone to gel quickly with so many new additions.

Hopefully we’ll have some clarity on who’s going to be coaching the team soon.

If Maguire comes in, it sounds like he’d want Milnes and Kennedy. So it’s the prop and halfback most people think we need.

Just short of a fullback then. But the media says hooley and possibly Wynne coming in.

Get all of them and I think we have a happy squad, appropriately aged and lots of experience.

yorky I would certainly try for him. He’s done wonders over there with little money. Some people say Watson was the good part over there, but it seems Rowley was the important one.

Salford have been struggling for a while financially,they’ve had the begging bowl out a couple of times this season and still need more which doesn’t seem to be forthcoming. The club issued a statement earlier this season saying they didn’t need to sell to survive,even though they have moved players on. Brodie Croft appears to be the last major asset they have left,with rumours of a six figure bid from Leeds on the table any deal might buy them a few months.

Hull Live reporting Maguire has turned down the coaches role with us but that we are in advanced talks to bring in Milnes, so he could be our incoming half. The prop situation more complex, if we can free up a quota spot apparently Rhys Kennedy is an option,otherwise two championship props are still under consideration. As for our new coach……..any bodies guess.

mucky1978 Looks pretty decent,more pace and a decent blend of youth and experience. Defensively couldn’t be much worse than last year,for me no Miller and Edwards improves that no end,plenty of options to fill those spots on your bench depending on how you want to play and still some decent cover outside the first 17 when the injuries bite. A couple of decent youngsters who look like they could be gradually introduced rather than just be chucked in the deep end. Smaller squad can work as Leigh and Salford have shown if you can keep the guys on the field which has been a weak spot for us. I’ll assume your omission of Vete was just an oversight 😂
