Hope he’s a good one. Would have loved a half back or mean prop. But if the best halfback Leeds can get is frawley, then there can’t be many good ones around or available.

No-one, only the players leaving have been confirmed by the club.

I think we need to tie Westy down to a new contract, Watts and Widdop still being courted by other clubs dependant on who comes up from the championship. Two fighting over Vete’s signature,unfortunately they’re Weight Watchers and Slimming World.

Have no issues with us doing a proper clean out as it was needed. Too many players were signed which offered nothing and it will have cost the club a small fortune, if we’re planning on sticking around in SL then a rethink on how we recruit has to be a good thing. During the time with Powell our younger players never got a real look in and Radford’s recruitment was nothing short of terrible. Hopefully a new focus under Ward will see all of that change.

Matt Has Danny Ward been Confirmed as head coach?

I don’t believe so, he may well know his position,or it may still be under dicussion but like the incoming players nothing concrete. I get it with the players,that’s a changing situation given some of our players are still talking to clubs and there are championship teams whose recruitment criteria may change if they get promoted but when it comes to the coach I would have thought that would have been an easy one to settle.

Forgot about that, we only gave a contract until the end of the season. In that case some clarity from the club would be nice. The last thing we need is the BOD agreeing to sign players only for a new coach to come in and not have a say.

Matt Sounds like the type of thing our current BoD’s could contemplate.

As for the Danny Ward situation, I can only assume there is some distance between the two sides as it seems straightforward to say either way if it’s settled. This could mean Ward is still wanted by Cas but Cas aren’t prepared to meet his demands for either himself, of the way he see’s the Club moving forward.

If we have already done some of the deals we are purported to have done,then some of these will have been done under Lasts tenure. Other targets identified will also have been made during that period,would that have been by Last himself or Wilson,truth is we don’t know. Ward had been quoted as saying he’s had no real involvement in next years recruitment,that would suggest Wilson is driving recruitment but one would hope not without some input from whoever our new coach will be. It’s all subject to change surely. Fans like certainty and we have very little,I’m assuming the announcements will come when the club are trying to whip up season ticket sales.

It’s an odd one with ward. Yes he did what was asked, just like Dave Woods did and he got sacked.

Yes we won 2 matches but we let in over 200 points in his 6 matches in charge.

Personally my view is that there’s not a massive list of people applying for the post and how many of them are better. With 85% of the squad decided for next year can he imprint his style upon players bought for other systems?

If there’s no money men coming into the club then we have to give ward the job and let him build now.

Hepworth yes it’s that time of the season. There’s normally some sort of blackout on news because of the playoffs. So no news equals trolls and rubbish.

After last season the club needs to be up front with the fans, telling us what signings we have made or are going to make, or I can see a lot of cancelled memberships.

Interestingly Huddersfield are keeping their season tickets low again. It’s happened nearly every year as they try to increase their crowd. But even in a good year, spending cap and having the full amount of quota players they can’t get over 5k. Plus they are well over 20m in debt to the owner.

RaoulDuke Without Ken Davy the Giants would have gone long ago, both he and his late wife lived and breathed the club as has been shown by his massive investment, I’d be shocked if he hadn’t made some provision for the club going forward,whether that would ensure their survival I don’t know. Having had the good fortune to spend time in his company he’s a good bloke, with a sharp business brain until it comes to his rugby,that’s when love overtakes reason.

Hepworth the frightening thing is he would have to make provision of £25m just to keep them at £0. I can’t see him putting that much aside. His net worth shows as about £20m. I’m sure it’ll be higher but that’s not enough
