Hope he’s a good one. Would have loved a half back or mean prop. But if the best halfback Leeds can get is frawley, then there can’t be many good ones around or available.

RaoulDuke Ben Reynolds at Leigh is not sorted for next season , younger and a million miles better than Miller But he has been on Beaumonts secret pay scale (allegedly) so I doubt we could afford him

I think we need to tie Westy down to a new contract, Watts and Widdop still being courted by other clubs dependant on who comes up from the championship. Two fighting over Vete’s signature,unfortunately they’re Weight Watchers and Slimming World.

Have no issues with us doing a proper clean out as it was needed. Too many players were signed which offered nothing and it will have cost the club a small fortune, if we’re planning on sticking around in SL then a rethink on how we recruit has to be a good thing. During the time with Powell our younger players never got a real look in and Radford’s recruitment was nothing short of terrible. Hopefully a new focus under Ward will see all of that change.

Matt Has Danny Ward been Confirmed as head coach?

I don’t believe so, he may well know his position,or it may still be under dicussion but like the incoming players nothing concrete. I get it with the players,that’s a changing situation given some of our players are still talking to clubs and there are championship teams whose recruitment criteria may change if they get promoted but when it comes to the coach I would have thought that would have been an easy one to settle.

Don’t want to put a negative spin on this, but let’s be realistic, championship and SL are chalk and cheese.
Yes Lingard did get a good team together playing well.
To do that at SL level and a brand new cas team, it’s going to so hard for him.
I also hope it works, but won’t get to giddy until I see positive results on the field.

We’ve literally just had our squad demolished and need to rebuild. The foundations of the new build have been laid but unlike construction, we can’t calculate how the new team will be. Only time will tell but at least we’ve started.

I’ve never been a fan of Maguire as a player but know little of him as an assistant. I like what linguard did at Batley. They might make a good team.

We need to give them a chance to work and IMG gives us that chance.

I’ve seen that the IMG figures for each club will be announced next week to the public. I think we’ll be in about 8-10th place but in ⅔ years without the stadium rebuild will be panicking at the end of each season.

one thing that puzzles me is why we dont utilise Aussies who have offered help in identifying good youngsters over there, i am thinking of Dave Woods, he said in an interview that all he needed was a phone call. from the club and he would get involved, Adrian Vowles is another who is always praising Cas over there.

Makes sense if McGuire is coming on board in some capacity as their season is over now. Glad that the majority of signings and the coach announcement have all come early too rather than stretching it all the way until Christmas.

Bookies will have a hard time predicting our position next year, guessing they’ll put us near the bottom with the huge amount of change however u really hope we do manage to gel as a team and bring some joy back down the lane.

pirate we do but at the level we are signing, these aren’t regularly on TV. So you’ve got to have a big network or trust a few who have contacts. Every NRL match is on TV.

There was talk of Kennedy and a Lebanese prop. From what Danny Wilson has said we have cap space, and the money. We have to use it wisely, Billy the Greek want much cop tbh. Rather we get it right.

Not always going to turn up diamonds but as an eccercise for me two of the three we brought in, Horne and Tasipale worked,Billy didn’t but as a short term option I reckon he was worth the risk.

Not incoming but Widdop has left the club. Should free up a good amount of cap space.

Widdop rarely took part in the contract session during match warm up. You could see we were looking after him. At fullback it’s all about the contact and then being part off the ‘bringing the ball off the line team’ . He couldn’t do that. I’m truth he wouldn’t get into the first 17 next season.

Wish we’d have seen the best of him. It’s all the best for the future.
