From what I gather, we would have activated the last year of his contract but didn’t as he didn’t want to stay. As a sweetner we got senior and they are paying part wages. A good deal all round which should mean we can pay off vete and look for another prop.
I liked them look of Wallis and would have been my starting right winger but he’s young and relatively untested. Senior has been in super League on and off all his career. He has a better strike rate and is quick. It’s a painless try before you buy as he’s out of contract at the end of the year.
Just a prop for me and we’re done recruiting. On paper the squad isn’t any stronger but at the start of last year we didn’t plan on mamo retiring, fairimo being bang average, fonua being slower than a horse running backwards, vete but being able to breakaway, from the all you can eat buffet, Eden and evalds not playing a full season between them and Richardson/McClelland not playing all season.
We now have hungry players that want to achieve or kick start their careers. So just a prop and good news on the stadium front and it’s been a good off season.
