Club have just posted an announcement stating that they hope to announce what’s happening on Wednesday. Can only see a couple of options either we bring back Powell on a temporary basis or look at getting Kear at Cas.

My gut feeling from the “someone taking on the role” statement is tat we’ll get an interim ‘coach’ until season’s end when hopefully, the search for a long-term appointment can be made and we can plan for the future, where ever that may be. (Lingard 😉)

With Lingard leaving his role at Batley at the end of the season and being full time assistant coach at Cas next season I’d be surprised if Kear isn’t announced as interim coach tomorrow with a view to a contract if results are positive.

Matt But is it the right time for Powell or kear, no one knows. Powell won’t come back while there’s certain people at the club. Kear is too long in the tooth now. Time will tell.

Still no smoke from the Vatican city yet…

I’m not too concerned if Danny W is confirmed but only if he’s supported if we do go down. Him and Lingard seem a good combination to tackle the ‘championship’ but it remains to be seen if he can work a miracle and avoid having to.

Happy enough with Ward,he’ll bring more to the party than Last ever did. As for Dorahy decent player at his best and can hopefully get some attacking intent into the side,and that he’s learned from previous indiscretions.

A positive move from Cas. The Dorahy appointment came out of the blue, he should know the Aussie player market.

The positives for me is that ward is hungry, knows the club and did get a tune out of London against the odds.

The negatives are he’s been out of the game a while (it’ll be interesting to find out what he’s been doing with his time) and why didn’t we take the punt after Radford?
