Widdop has been good at fullback in 50% of the games, the other 50% really poor.
Eden is probably the same over his career but can win you a game and is seriously under used as a winger when he doesn’t get a clean pass and is used as a battering ram.
Broadbent isn’t a fullback and is more important as a centre as we don’t have many.
We can’t keep bringing in players that don’t cover the shortfall of specific positions.
We have only 2 fit halfbacks so must play them there and not keep moving 5 men to cover. Mellor isn’t a centre.
If we need a halfback then bring one in, same with other positions.
Also now is not the time to play conservative and try to win by 2 in an arm wrestle. It’s now we try to blow teams away and hold on
