Only 900 tickets left according to Wakey as of yesterday so if you’re wanting to go to our most important game in years you better buy quick.

Managed to get a ticket,looks like it’s going to be a sell out. Unless our new coach is Stevie Wonder it wouldn’t take long to identify Wakey’s weaknesses from the Hull game,their edge defence was awful,if we actually play centres in the centre who can put the wingers into space there are tries to be had.

We knew before the last round of fixtures that this game would be do or die and as things stand, it’s massive. I never like the idea of players deliberately performing badly to get rid of their coach/manager but that performance against Hudds seemed to further highlight the possibility. If tur, these same individuals now need to prove their worth and lift their game back to where it can be. The Club, and their careers, are on the brink of no return. We’ve seen the problems Wire are having recruiting a new coach so I’m doubtful Cas will find the ‘magician’ they need before Friday’s game. Time for the Senior players to take the lead and lift the rest.

If we lose against Wakey we are down without a doubt. If we win we have a slight chance of stopping up. They have 4 out of the last 6 at home, we only have 2 out of our last 6 at home. Both teams are rubbish away from home, so its likely they will win more of their last 6 than us,

Lose next week we are down, wakey will be on a high and maybe win a couple more. Our moral will be rock bottom and we won’t win another game. Same as above if we win. A lose for either side and it’ll knock the stuffing out of the losing side.

stuey that doesn’t make sense. If we win we’ve a slight chance of staying up? Surely we’d be 2 points ahead of then and a better points difference. At that point we’d be favourites to stay up.

Think we’re going to need to win at least two matches. Wakey and Leeds are the obvious targets and maybe Hull at a push. In terms of their fixtures Salford, Leigh and KR will probably be the targets. I’d be suprised if they manage to do anything against Saints or Catalans. Have an awful feeling it’s going to come down to points difference. I just hope that the players will now step up under Ward and show that they are capable.

I am not sure when there is such tension in the air and expectation that home games are as positive as when you’re pushing up the other end of the table. Who knows - thankfully I will be away in the sun with the family next week, so the pain or euphoria at the result will be diluted either way in absentia.

Two results in one night,whatever happens now,a great night. 3 disallowed tries for Wakey,3 missed kicks…on any other night..even Kendall was decent.Not sure we had that resilience under Last but we did tonight. Great night, and I have to say the Wakey fans were brilliant when they found out i was an interloper in their stand. loads of mickey taking when they took the lead and loads of congratulations at the end of the game.

There may still be a few twists in this crazy season, but its ours to lose now.

RaoulDuke Absolutely, drove through an absolute downpour to get home last night,took an hour longer than usual,gardens underwater and don’t give a toss. Late breakfast reading the Wildcats forum ( Apparently Lino is the anti-christ) All is well with the world,until the Saints game at least.

What a difference a win makes to a weekend, especially when it’s on a Friday. It’s great news that our future is back in our hands. Win 5 and we stay up, win 4 and we should just make it. After that who knows.

Hoping that the rfl are good to us and we get no bans. I did hear the ref on commentary taking to Westy that it was 3 late shots that he should talk to the team. Personally didn’t see anything to be worried about.

It was an improved performance and a result I happily accepted with Eden once again showing he’s one of the best.

Better control around the halves with more skilful kicks downfield, all of which shows we have a platform to build on.

Signs were there that we still have a lot of hard work to do as the run in remains a difficult task starting with Saints who will be tough to beat, even at home. Hopefully a full week in camp will allow DW to further build the team spirit and confidence so more wins come down the line.
