Hopefully some confidence from the Leeds match will give us a bit of a step up. Would be nice to get the win and create a bit more of a buffer over Wakey - that’s if Leeds do the business.

You’d have thought a low salford turnout at per usual and a hostile home crowd could take us home.

Let’s not forget next week salford play HKR in the cup. Maybe they might or hopefully rest a couple. If mellor and we know watts arnt playing, that’s weakened our team no end. I’m hoping for a win, but feel Salford will be too big and strong for us. Saying that, I thought they were average v HKR at magic. So who knows.

Another hammering. Andy Last stated this week “ we will win more than we will lose in the second half of the season” . That means we win 7 of our next 12. He is in cloud cuckoo land.

So many players unavailable doesn’t help but some of our play is poor. Turner didn’t help with his passes to Tate. Looking at other teams they seem to put out a consistent 17, changing the odd players now and again. Salford the same, missing ackers. The wigan/saints teams the same. It looks like we need to target certain matches. So between them matches we should look to blood players. Play Qereqere at full back for a start. Robb needs more game time, same with hall, Martin, Tate, hookem. And importantly, tell us and then we don’t think it’s just lack of knowledge or amateurish.

Looks like we could lose Macca for some time, suspected broken arm.
Wallis out for a while, hall could be.
What’s bloody annoying is we get a couple of youngsters playing really well, then bang both injured.
Not sure if we are just jinxed, or if conditioning is very poor.
It definitely needs looking at.

I’m still of the opinion that if we can go to Wakey and win we’ll be safe. But I agree with Raoul let’s give some of these youngsters onto the field and see how they go,we have games coming up that realistically we’re not going to win. Games like Saints away I wouldn’t risk anyone who wasn’t 100%..if that means playing the youngsters so be it. I do get what people say,we shouldn’t be targeting games but that is in reality where we are. We have to stay up,that’s it and if taking a 70 point drubbing means we do I’m all for it.

Our next two matches are Warrington & Saints. Wakey have Hull KR and Salford (both very much winnable).

By the end of June both us and Wakey could have 6 points.

I thought exactly the same, they’re playing for fun and nothing to lose. Everyone expects them to finish bottom with no hope!

Well that was the weekend that will see us drop out of SL, IMO.

Not only did Wakey get the win they wanted, that will no doubt also give them a huge confidence boost, we simply imploded after what seemed like a good start (all pressure an no points again tho) and losing our best player by far for what could be the season.

The only answer is to bring in new players but that seems unlikely as everything on that front is against us.

If Ian Fulton wants to continue owning a SL club then now is the time to start taking action. We’re half way through the season and they’ll be a good amount of players out there who aren’t getting game time. Get them down at Cas on loan and start spending some cash otherwise we could be looking at a long spell in the championship.

Wakey will win again and they’ll probably pick up one or two more after that too. We’ll not pick up anything in our next 5 fixtures and after that we have a crunch match against them, who ever wins that will stay in SL.

Even if we get a few back can’t see us winning either of the next two so maybe not take any risks with rushing folk back. Wakey will have three suspensions to contend with which won’t help their cause,nor will they be playing Leeds who bombed three certain tries on Sunday. Hopefully the club use the week off wisely.
