1 match ban for Watts. It seems to be every other week he gets a 1 match ban

Disgraceful decision by the disciplinary, watts never put any pressure on the player. Watts took all the pressure off the Leeds man by putting his left hand on the ground and took the pressure though his own arm. God knows what the judiciary look at. Imo the Leeds man blatantly cheated.

Watts being banned simply on reputation,there are plenty of times the disciplinary panel give players the benefit of the doubt which clearly doesn’t apply to Lliam, while he has deserved some of his suspensions this incident clearly isn’t one of them and its not the only time. Rather than take an ill judged swipe at the authorities as he did previously the ruling needs to be challenged by him with the full backing of the club.

He should argue his case. He was one of 3 in the tackle and ceremony no evidence on the angles I saw. There’s been no frivolous cases this year, so we may aswell go for it.

Whilst I’m not arguing with the belief Watts has been hard done to, I’ll just play devils advocate for a while. For me, the crusher incidents need to take account of intent. Some quite clearly happen by accident as players fall and body positions move. Others are quite clearly deliberate as the tackler ‘folds’ the ball carrier beneath them and drops down vertically on top. The latter are a disgrace that require stern action from the disciplinary committee. In Watts’ case, it could be argued that he knew what was happening as he placed his arm on the ground and therefore, the result was intentional. The panel may have taken the view that rather than placing his arm on the ground, he could’ve taken a more suitable, alternative course of action.

FlatCapper What would that more suitable alternative course be. Not tackle him. Don’t think he could have done much more to take pressure off the Leeds player.

That is purely a ban based on reputation, you could pick out a similar incident from every game than doesn’t get mentioned. It stinks.

In my eyes it’s bullying by the judiciary/disciplinary.

I see saints have got another one of their players off the punishment list. Surely we must challenge this decision and process?
