The wakey signings are a bit weird, no money but able to deregister an overseas player to bring in fifita.
That’s now 2 wages to pay. Plus the 2 juniors who were held to ransom, as described by their agent. They wouldn’t have come back for no more money.
A loan player, he’ll cost.
And the 2 triallists will be getting expenses if nothing else.
That tots up. How much I’d be guessing but they talked about fifita being on big money prior to leaving, the deregistered player would have been on a bit.
We were told at the directors meeting that it cost 4ok to get Blair over. So taking in all the rest, maybe 100k. That’s a gamble if they don’t stay up or they don’t sell the club.
In contrast, we’ll have saved twice that amount in Mamo, Smith and milner.
Hewitt isn’t a bad player but second rowers won’t keep you up. Fifita wasn’t particularly good last year and playing 3 games in a second string isn’t world class fitness. The juniors were let go for a reason and the triallists are unattached again for a reason.
