desperation or a good move?

Wish he had stopped at Cas. Will bring some much needed experience to Wakey but it’s a lot of pressure on one player to try and get them out of the situation they find themselves in.

Luke was good at cas but he was playing behind a decent pack, when our pack was beaten he became the invisible man. Wakeys pack is almost non existant thankfully

Can only see him being beneficial to Wakey, he may be past his best but he's still a great kicker and a natural organiser which they've seriously lacked. Some people have a presence on the pitch and Galey is one of them,but he'll clearly be targeted as the only really creative player they've got,hardest part may be keeping him on the pitch.

If he manages to organise the team though which he is good at then there's a chance they'll pick up the odd win here and there.

I doubt they'll be taking any points from Warrington this week so we really need to get the win over Leigh. The faster we start to build a lead over them the better, really don't want it coming down to the end of the season and it being an us vs them situation again.

All of the logic about desperation and him being past his best stacks up..... But anything beneficial makes me nervous of our position.

I said after watching LUFC this season looking at other people's results and performances is an indignity when you're not good enough to take matters in to your own hands - I feel similar about this.

Any gains Wakefield make gets them a step closer to us,and we don't need that. Hopefully Last can improve us a little quicker.

I think they'd have picked up a couple of wins with or without him, for what they might gain in a bit of organisation they lose in the fact that he's the slowest halfback in the league and a very ordinary defender. He was poor for Leeds in his last season there, worse for Hull last year and apparently ineffective for Keighley this year. We need to take care our own business, Wakey signing Gale isn't going to turn them into anymore of a threat than they were previously. Sort ourselves out and it isn't an issue.

I'm not sure Gale has ever been the player he was in 2017?

Whether that is down to the team he's played in, the coach, the player himself or a combination thereof, I have no idea.

You may all also recall that on the back of his hay day at Cas, he played for England in a World Cup and didn't seem the player he was at Cas.

I did read earlier this season that he orchestrated Keighley's win against the Bulls and it may be that on occasion, he can still take control but his best days are certainly behind him.

having said that, he'll no doubt mastermind a Wakey win over us at some stage!🙄
