Both Cas and Wakey need to find something to even be competitive this season and sadly on both occasions I've seen Trinity this season they've looked closer to finding it than we are,and they are already bringing in fresh blood while we bumble along aimlessly. Don't get me wrong there's nothing much between the two sides but their spirit and fitness seems better which counts for a lot even when the opposition is clearly better and that might be the deciding factor in who stays up. We have an ageing squad who look unfit and lacking in motivation,I don't expect us to be world beaters,and the top six is nothing but a dream but I do expect the players we put on the field to play with pride and passion,I can take us getting beat by a better side but we should never lose through a lack of effort. We need a coach who can instill that into the players,who can get the basics right, that wasn't evident last night ,our defense was naive at best,you could have driven a bus in the gap between Miller and Edwards,our attack that was virtually non-existent featured two wingers with speed to burn who never saw the ball in the Giants half. Is Last the right man for the job? Who knows but for God's sake lads give us something,show us the pride and passion and we will get behind you,more of the same.....no!
