I wished Saints well last weekend and think our primary hope here may be we catch them after celebrating! If the first half team from last week show up, that would be sum-optimal!

If I was the coach I’d fine anyone who dives in when there’s no need to. Just place the ball down.
Ridiculous how many players ‘show off’ diving.
I’ve seen lots of tries scored when a player wants to run and place the ball down so close to the dead ball line, WHY. Bloody crazy.

I believe the idea of the dive is to prevent the ball being dropped or knocked out when attempting to place it on the ground. It's relatively easy to suffer either fate.

Furthermore, we love it when a winger dives to avoid the defender. Looks spectacular and increases the change of scoring now they've removed the 'in touch' rule when colliding with the corner flag.

Either way, he had acres of space to dive into so there's no excuse.

Maturecasfan It’s no good breaking the line then throw the ball Willy nilly.

That can be sorted out by Mamo and coaching though. Looking at our squad at the moment dropping Mamo would be worse than keeping him in it. We have too many plodders in the team and I'd rather have someone who actually tries to create something than a single slow drive in to the tackle.

I do agree with that @Matt the chances we blew stand out, but at least he was in a position to blow them!

Think with Miller & Widdop got to give them at least 5 games to get used to playing with each other.
Broadbent looks quality and Mamo looks better then last season but just needs to relax in the final 3rd.
Time to give up on Watts Fonua and Farimo
Even Turner looks half the player he was.
