I really wasn't expecting that. That being said taking the emotion out of it, he isn't in a strong position contractually given the record - so if their deal has a few extra quid in it, I would do the same.

Was certainly not in our 1-17 plans, nor will he be in Wigan's either.

I agree, not in the 1-17 but a cracking squad member who really punches above his weight, wd missed a golden oppotunity there given our history with injuries in key positions.
I wish him all the best apart from the obvious games

Anyone know a starting date for both Richardson an McClellan.
Really need one or the other to be fit for around March/April.
Can’t see widdop with his dodgy shoulders lasting long before he’s injured again.
Hope am wrong, but I can see him out more than in.

McClelland out for season….never.
That’s 2 full seasons out, and the injury didn’t happen while playing for us.
Beggars belief.

Know he was out of contract but he was still training with us and going through rehab. Personally I’d have have tried to keep him on and get him out on loan instead - he’s a good utility player and could have been useful next season.

As all other clubs we have to work within the salary cap,the majority of which we had already used, clearly what was left wasn't sufficient to get Hampshire to stay.
