Thoughts on our performance so far? Samoa haven’t really offered too much resistance but we look pretty solid.

Samoa seemed to be disinterested.
Their defence was atrocious.
They weren’t helped with a couple of bad injuries and a sin binning.

England had a point to prove after a lot of fans saying Samoa will win.
Great performance by them.
Dom young, what a player.

Tests still to come with Australia NZ and Tonga.
They’ll be much harder to break down.

All in all a good start.

Not sure we can read too much about either side.

England did what they needed to do but weren't tested too much at all.

Samoa, well, what can you say? Loss of players through injury certainly didn't help and you could argue England didn't let them play but dear me, they were awful. Expected much more although always thought England would win.

Good start but plenty to build on.

I am really looking forward to Tonga France, think they both need a result so unlike a lot of the later rounds of fixtures, this one should be competitive from the off.

I meant Samoa! not that I could point to either on a map!

Iv been a bit disappointed with Samoa n Tonga so far although they could still come good in the knockouts, it still just looks like a 3 horse race between Aus, NZ n Eng.

Think it’ll be Eng v Aus in the final. We seem to have put together a decent squad for a change rather than being picked on name alone
